The gatehouse is located across the road from Margrain Vineyard Villas, next door to the Cellar Door and cafe. Set amongst a private garden and vineyard, the renovated gatehouse offers private rooms, each with their own entrance and ensuite bathroom.
All accommodation features a private bathroom, tea/coffee making facilities, toaster and refrigerator. Heaters are provided. Each villa is individually decorated, and has its own balcony with views over the Huangarua River Valley. The suites feature antique furniture, and have an open-plan lounge/dining area and a spa bath.
There are many restaurants, wineries and vineyards in the surrounding area. Free on-site parking is available.

Villas were great, provides comfort. Great room with everything on it. Would be perfect if bathroom got exhaust on it to keep steam out. Experienced power cuts twice, which is Martinborough wide. We understood that it's not the owner's fault, but that doesnt need to be mentioned 3-4x. Apology was ok, but would appreciate a consolation of some form. Wines were very good, cafè serves excellent cooked breakfast. Villa has a good selection of continental breakfast as well.

Went there for the wine tasting. Luckily, as it was September, there was $10 tasting option which included 14 tastings including few reserves, compared to usual $5 tasting which were 6 tastings without any reserves. The host, Kate was amazing with everyone, putting in humors while introducing the wines in details, and not neglecting any customers there. With the $10 tasting fee refunded if buying $40 or more of wine. Cf. $5 tasting fee refunded if spending $28 or more. Would definitely come back here again next time!
