Had a amazing night of accomodation and excellent food and service would highly recommend staying and eating. The location is perfect, easy to get to. They have thought of everything from the bedding to even a fruit bowl with fresh fruit, we loved our stay.

WOW what a meal and what amazing service. 5 of us went for a birthday dinner 3 had the snapper fish with romesco and salad and 2 fish & chips it was like the fish was caught just as we walked in it was that fresh! Service impeccable and thoughtful. Couldn't fault anything we highly recommend if looking for a fantastic meal and drinks. Well done to all the team we had a fantastic evening.

I had my 60th Birthday here and it was awesome. I dealt with Ricci who made the booking process easy. On the night Mila and co looked after us, what perfect service. The food was also the best we had on the island. The Pearl room was ideal. Thanks so much for a fabulous night we will tell all our Wellington friends.

Dined in today went early afternoon oysters and cocktails to start all amazing lovely refreshing French martini — oysters wow, mains arrived I would say way too much fries on steak frite dish but all other mains great portioning and sides (carrots especially so tasty) thanks for special candles for dessert, appreciate the small touches — 19 month old ate the whole Mac and cheese! Friendly service lovely evening thankyou to the chefs and wait staff! Highly recommend if you are in Waiheke!

Was lucky enough to dine out at the Oyser Inn this evening, the food was superlative, the atmosphere was awesome and the service tip top. Highly recommended.

Highly recommend the ceviche and beef tartar. Absolutely stunning. The cocktails were amazing and best of all the staff were fantastic.

We were spoilt rotten by the team at Oyster Inn on our anniversary today. They really went that extra mile to make our day special. Excellent service, great tasting food, Great atmosphere and views. We come here every time we are in Oneroa and will continue to do so. Great place, would highly recommend.

A really unimpressive experience.
We have been on waiheke for a week and Oyster Inn came highly recommended, so we booked for 8pm Sunday. Arrived 7:58 and taken straight to table. Menu explained, drinks order (a sav and a lemonade) taken. Around 8:25 the lemonade came and a taste of the sav — a glass was ordered so the 'taste' was unexpected and showed poor listening from waiter. Food arrived at 8:30 then the glass of wine.
Market fish was $38 and poor value for money. A basic puree with a pan-fried slab of fish, 2 pieces of cauliflower and 3 embarrassed looking cockles completed the dish. All cooked well but average presentation and absolutely no particularly amazing technique. As a cook, I could do better myself.
Beer battered fish and chips again were cooked well but so so underwhelming for another $28.
A side of 'charred brocelli salad was the only dish that was above average — and really we were trying to look for good points.
No meal check.
Go to pay, $98. No asking/checking to see if meal was satisfactory.
So overall we have: — poor service — given about a third of the tables were empty it was hardly like the team was run off their feet.
— below par food: when you're paying the same money for mains that you see at the likes of Mudbrick, casita miro and others on Waiheke, one kind of expects the same type of service and food (or better given the venue is right in town).

We randomly stopped for lunch here because my wife wanted oysters. This place ended up being a standout dining experience. The service in particular was exceptional, especially for a casual eatery. I typically dislike “small talk” with waiters, but our server (senior gentlemen with arm tats) was super nice and had lots of great recommendations for the rest of outer trip. The seafood was very fresh and the house lemonade was wonderful.

The Oyster Inn is a marvel. A big fave with Waiheke locals, Aucklanders and travellers all. How do the Oyster staff do it? It's the lively venue and it has a handy and central location. It is also known for its style and panache. Upmarket a wee bit, certainly, but always really good value. Everyone is made trulywelcome. A measure of how everyone working there contributes to the special reality of hosting others. What did I sample? The oysters, of course. Some of the very freshest and tangiest ever encountered on a plate just before me. Brimming with tang plus minerals and the deliciousness of the sea. Simply presented and all the better for their honest valuing of the best ingredients.

We stopped in for some olives, oysters, and glass of wine. They had selections of each from the island, and the quality was superb. Their house wine is as good as anything you can find in the vineyards. Great value! I would definitely return.

I wish I didn’t live half a world away. Fantastic food, atmosphere, and staff. Would eat here everyday if I could!

Unfortunately the dinner experience wasn't the best from memories past. The mains were average, the mac n cheese that was once a molton yummy mess was a soup if nothingness. Very disppointing. Even re cocktails were poorly made. For a Saturday night the place was empty. No longer the go to restaurant on the island.

Very nice lunch bit surprised we were charge $12.50 for the bottle of water though.

Quick stop before catching very back. Only had drinks but service was fast and good.

On a sunny day while on a Waiheke Island — there is no better place to have lunch or dinner. Sitting outside on a balcony, enjoying the view, delicious oysters and local wine — this is a winning combination. A must visit for both scenery and the food.

"Fish n chips"? More like batter and potato at high end prices. No colour garnish. Told them we were unhappy and they got on the offensive. Left feeling very ripped off.

Great! The food was superb. Over the years they have been a bit up and down but now they are terrific. The atmosphere and service keeps pace Highly recommended.

The place is nice and if you have a table at the balcony the views are great. The food and service are very good. To make my day even better I ordered the Kaipirinia they have on the bar menu. This was a big disappointment, the tasteless slightly cachaca flavored soda water mixed with a couple of slices of lime and brown Palm sugar had no ressemblance at all with the real deal or caipirinhia. I did not complain but told the manager that offering this drink under the caipirinhia name was misleading at least. He answered that being an Italian he knows that Italian food all over the world is different and that he will not change his way of doing this drink. I tried to explain him how a real caipirinhia was made and that they should change the name of the drink. He was not receptive rather stubbornly defensive. But then I'm just a customer trying to help, right?

I dont like the idea putting coconut on sashimi. other than that, everything was fine.

The Oyster Inn is a fabulous B&B located in the Oneroa village on Waiheke Island, just off Auckland's coast. I can't speak to the overnight accommodations, but my meal there was incredible. To reach Oneroa, you must first take the ferry from Auckland, which leaves regularly throughout the day. From the ferry harbor, Oneroa (and the Oyster Inn) is a short walk (and an even shorter bus ride). The Inn is located in the center of the bustling Oneroa village, surrounded by quaint shops and other restaurants. The Inn stands out, thanks to its large white gables and an open veranda overlooking Oneroa and Oneroa Bay. The twin highlights of my meal were the wine (a local sav. Blanc, of course) and the friendly service. The oysters, true to form, were excellent as well. My main course, fish and chips, was good, but by no means the star of the show. The meal was made complete by the view of the bay from my seat on the balcony. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience, and I would highly recommend the Oyster Inn to anyone looking for a bite to eat (and a view! ) on Waiheke Island.

Great service, great view, beautiful food enjoyed with great friends. Beer on tap was delicious (MOA Indian pale ale was my favourite). Oyster was fresh. One particular staff member that stood out for me goes by the name of Ciara (pronounced Kiara). Ciara was particularly very attentive and also goes above and beyond and making sure we were all well looked after — I wish more restaurants have this level of service. I would highly recommend this place.

The best oysters I have had so far! These Te Matuku oysters were so neat! Also, the new style sashimi were incredibly well balanced in taste. Desserts were great, however, slightly too much ice cream, would be better balanced otherwise. Clearly recommending this place! Kiara was awesome and super friendly :-)

Visited as a group of three for a late lunch. Not too busy as it was mid arvo but still has a lovely atmosphere. Service was friendly and prompt. Had some oysters and calamari to start, with lamb ribs, fish and chips, and gnocchi for mains. Fish and chips were described as some of the best they’ve had, the lamb dish there is my mum’s go-to every time she visits, and my gnocchi was delicious. Not a traditional gnocchi as it looks a bit like haloumi, but beautifully flavoured, the broccoli in there was roasted to perfection, and even though I’m not sold on kale it was a great addition to the dish. Ran out of room for dessert unfortunately but can’t speak to that, but would happily come again and try more of the menu.

Went as a large group and the service was really great. Good wine and cocktails. Food was good too.

The rooms are in a historic building on the main street. We found it less well appointed and much higher priced than most other places we stayed in NZ.

So welcoming! The first time I came was with my dog. Never have I felt so welcomed; great seats, a water bowl and such a warm greeting. Been back a few times, and even now, the first word that comes to mind is WELCOMED. This place treats everyone like a local and it's just so nice. Enjoyable for a drink or a meal, you know they'll make you feel like a friend.

Delicious decent sized meals. Oysters were fresh and delicious! A little on the expensive side but the ambiance was great and staff were friendly.

We have been coming to Oyster Inn since it opened and have always had excellent and friendly service especially from our hosts Jonathan and Andrew. Every time we have visited one of them greets us and I have noticed they also have a word with every diner in the restaurant,
Their food is great and I highly recommend the ' school prawns ' and an absolute fave is the salted caramel ice cream balls … "Yum yum in my tum " as Dawn French would say.
I can't speak more highly of this Waiheke icon. Do try it.

The Oyster Inn finally broke my near 2 week streak of very average food while on vacation in New Zealand. We were seated right away, service was quick, and our server was as cheerful as she was knowledgeable, making excellent recommendations from drinks to dessert and everything in between. All food and drink were delicious, and prices were very reasonable all things considered. One of only 3 restaurants in NZ that I will miss.

Spent a wonderful night at the oyster in! The decor was utterly flawless such attention to detail. Awesome job guys loved it. We ate at the restaurant for dinner and breakfast the food was lovely the service was excellent. Would and have, highly recommended.
