Really convenient for our roadtrip around Napier and the area and the guy who runs the place was relaxed, helpful and friendly.

Not even worth the one star. do not book in. Take your custom elsewhere. Frimley Lodge has to be the worst motel I have ever stayed at. From it's verbally abusive, unkempt proprietor, his absolute lack of service ethic; to the dirty uncomfortable fittings, stove and broken fridge; unsafe electrical wiring, rotten window sills and black mold, our unit was simply unfit for human habitation, and our youngest was consequently treated at Hastings Hospital the next morning for breathing difficulties. Sign outside, indicates 24 / 7 service with Wi-Fi…, We recieved neither Wi-Fi nor service, so with no one available to take our complaints we had no alternative other than to leave key in room and depart. Be warned. do not stay at the frimley lodge motel. For us it was the motel experience from hell. And Tourists… Please take note and make sure you give your hard earned $ to one of Hasting's more reputable accommodation services.

Close to amenities nice and quiet enjoyed our stay will be coming again.

Lovely place. Needs heat pumps in rooms. Rooms gd size andcwell set out hosts are friendly.

Great place to have a good night sleep, for what it costed to us. Tidy, quiet and comfortable. Domesticated cats were nice to us too. :)

Advertising breakfasts but was told no longer permitted. Bring your own. Shower lost its pressure before I could get in. Otherwise ok.

This place is nice and tidy. They dont have rice cooker but they do have pan for cooking and other kitchen utensils. Take note, if you are staying for 2 or more nights it is morelikely that they will not wash your dishes and make your bed for you during peak hours. They have a common mini pool at the back but we didnt get a chance to use it due to time constraint. This place is way better than the tolaga bay inn which I dont recommend unless you dont have any options. BTW this place is near to countdown.

Clean and tidy place. I would have given it 5 stars if we didn't have to pay extra 20 dollers per night to use the bed that was already in the room, since there was no surcharge mention for bringing children on the booking advertisement. I asked the guy at reception how come you want to charge me for a bed that is already in the room and I booked the room as deluxe studio which means two beds. And he replied I have to wash the sheets aftet you leave. So apparently he will wash the sheets worth 40 dollers. It is not a backpackers accommodation, we were not supposed to be charged by the bed.

It's a good place. Family friendly. My kids just love it. Near to town.

Clean and tidy. Lovely proprietors. Nothing was a problem — very accommodating with our requirements.

Manager was very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and tidy. Would recommend this motel. The general atmosphere here is very relaxed and welcoming.

Found pubic hairs in the bed… enough said. Obviously the bed was re-made and the linen wasn't changed.

From the time I arrived there were problems with the booking which was paid for and the rude treatment I received. The room was fill with the smell of cigarette smoke. Was glad to get out of there.

It was all nice there for me, whenever I went to hastings I use to go there so thats why 4 strat but now a bit expensive so this is the reason why I reduce 1 start. Remaining everything was good.

Stayed there for 2 nights impressive service including cleanliness, will definitely like to stay there again :)

The worse place ever. The owner was rude to my friends and I as soon as we got there. Always checking up on us, was rather annoying. He ended up kicking us out rudely way before our stay was even over. Would never go back to that place that's for sure!

Spotless beautiful environment. Pool was a luxury after a long drive. Manager was very cheerful and helpful with providing instructions and directions. Love our unit. Shops and restaurant are within reach. Will certainly choose this place in the future :)

Excellent. Although the motel is older style, the place has been renovated with excellent facilities e'g new showers, toilets, bathroom, carpets, beds etc. The supplied teas/coffees/biscuits were generous and good quality. The beds were comfortable. The rooms were spacious. The motel is on the main road but traffic noise was minimal. The owners were very friendly & helpful. I noticed they looked us in the eyes when they spoke with us, rather than just treating us a passing supplier of revenue! Well done. We'll stay with you again.
