Stunning room with the coolest bath and all right across the road from a beautiful beach on Marine Parade.
ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! We will never stay in this place again — and you should never stay there either! When we arrived the owner of the motel demanded to meet everyone staying in the room which immediately made us all feel uncomfortable but went along with it. Bruce then made multiple inappropriate comments during our stay, but the worst of which was "I know what boys and girls do" upon meeting us; before he knew the two young women and the man he was speaking to were siblings. There were many awkward interactions with the staff there, I think the cleaner does try his best though. We were clearly judged and discriminated against due to our age (young professionals) and treated as if our intentions were to party all night long and trash their place. When we paid for one extra person Bruce's wife said we can't have quote "20 people" stay, which was never our intention, so I immediately promised we weren’t going to bring any more people and she cut me off to say she's "heard it all before" to which I replied “Well, all I can tell you is that we won’t. I can’t do any more than that”. We probably left that room cleaner than it was before we got there. The room was different to one advertised and was damp. It had barely any consumables or basic things like a dust pan or broom. There were lots of ants on the windowsill and we did come across a big cockroach right outside the kitchen sliding door. Oh but wait, there's more!
