Great location, handy to Queen street. Apartment comfortable and functional, but cleaning need to be improved, but overall value for money for what we paid.

Very good value for money. Rooms well equipped. Staff very friendly. Wifi was slightly too restricted and often difficult to manage.

No street noise on G floor, but if someone above flushes the toilet, that is loud. Fine clean room, no AC, but has a fan and an electric heater. Not a hotel, so rubbish not taken out of the room every day. Has a stovetop, microwave, bar fridge, dishes and cutlery. The gym has 2 treadmills, one not working, 1 stationary bike, 1 bench press bench, 1 multi-machine. Rickety and creaky equipment. Some small freeweights, largest are 2 plates of 20kg.

Nice room. Good shower. Everything you need. TV could do with more channels.

Location is perfect, walking distance to universities, food, convenience stores. A short walk to Aotea Centre and Queen St. Rooms have fan but no air conditioner. Which is fine during cooler months. Housekeeping and front office staffs were friendly.

Apartment building without any service.

Price is good but no a/c and mattress was the worst ever. Very loud if you try to cool room by open windows. Location is fine. Laundry is a bonus. They never cleaned our room once and we had to ask foe new towels. Wish I had better to say. Cheap and laundry are the only good I can come up with.

Single room. Apartment hotel.

No frills studio room, has own laundry service (need to pay) and no free parking. The location is on a slope therefore a little bit of climb is required if you parked at the Wilson parking down slope. However, it is relatively close to the city centre and Mt Eden and Auckland Museum is just a short drive away. Good reception service but otherwise, do not expect much from this place except to crash and sleep.

This hotel was terrible. The room had no air conditioning, the ambient temperature was 35degrees. When inquiring about this they offered to provide a fan, but with no fresh air getting in to the room it would just circulate the hot air. When we said we were checking out their solution was to offer another room which had a balcony and to just leave the door open all night. They refused to provide a refund, even when quite clearly they were unable to provide a habitable room. Would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Stayed for 7 nights, excellent with reception team, the worst room and experience I ever had with amenities and staff, we never been warned about that glass bowl cannot cook on hot plate (most of the place I been to the glass bowl can cook even on fire or wood), I came down and asked the receptionist and then found out we had missed 2 pots in room since beginning, just only 1 pot and 1 pan and the glass bowl come together (supposed to be 3 pots 1 pan 1 glass bowl). The supervisor told me that it was accident and the housekeeping missed 2 pots from my room, was told may not be charged she was not sure after that when we come to check out the charge was taken. Never stay here again.

Stayed here at the start and end of my NewZealand trip, check in was easy the rooms were fine for what we needed. Only issue is that it doesn’t have its own parking, there is parking across the road that’s $25 a night (which isn’t that bad really for a city centre parking lot).

Perfectly adequate accommodation, however if you have a room down stairs, it seems like a dungeon and you only get a view of the parking building next door. It has a number of semi permanent tenants so the place does have a college dorm feel to it.

Check in and check out were both really smooth. Room was nice and clean. Unfortunately there was a light from the building next door that came through the window and made it seem like it was day light all throughout the night even with the curtains completely closed.

Great double room that was clean Such an easy place to find. My advice would be to arrange parking with the Waldorfe as we attempted a Wilson's car park opposite and got a very hefty bill for a one night stay!. Bus stop just outside front door easy waking distance to city hub.

No free parking, only available across the street from Wilson's at $25NZD a night (+ currency exchange fees) … Room serving is only once a week, so need to request fresh towels after a day or so (important for a family with kids). Wireless locks-out daily, so have to ask reception to refresh/unlock (Reception is only available until 8PM). Floor was dirty (hair clumps in a number of places). Beds had fresh clean linen, but only serviced once a week… Probably good value for a night or two, if floors are clean, but I would not stay longer…

This is our feedback as requested. We had a very unpleasant stay. It is a bad experience especially with our Xmas holidays. The receptionists were generally unfriendly and they don't seem to know Auckland tourist venues etc and gave no assistance. Given our frustration when the reception declined our request for half an hour check out time extension and that we had to pay 20 dollars the GM reacted behind our back shouting at us saying we were rude and threatened to kick us out. Our dust span had no brush and we requested one daily but was never given one. We had only a mini service for only 1day for the 6 days we staying and there was no service. Due to our experience and especially with a toddler we definitely don't recommend this apartment.

Location, price, amenities, plus the effort they made so we could check in early, made the overnight trip to Auckland a great experience. (The fantastic wedding we attended also helped of course! )

Can't complain about the price! Good clean serviced apartment. We stayed for three nights in a queen bed apartment and everything worked good. The bed gets a bit too soft when you sleep in it all day long. The outside street gets a bit rowdy at night time — though this is not the hotel's problem :)

Great value for money. Very helpful and polite staff. Secure parking and great central location.

We found this to be very good value. Ours was a bedroom with separate lounge and kitchenette, everything was spotless. We enjoyed a good nights sleep and will probably stay here again when next in Auckland city.

One night stay, the room is small but all the amenities are there and location is great.

Good stay but Studio room was advertised as a Queen bed but it was most certainly not a queen bed, it was a double.

Clean apartment, friendly staff. The place is well located. Food is a small walk away.

Had to pay extra fees for not doing dish washing… they should have provided enough dish wash liquid.

I have wrote a note that I will come at 8 am and I need the room to be ready as am coming from overseas "more than 18 hours flying" but the room was not ready and they took extra 50 Dollar to prepare the room at 10 am, this two hours I spent in the street wandering around. The rest of my stay was fine.

The room was small and very dark, no balcony as it shows on the picture. It was okay if you are looking somewhere in the city to crush in. But for a business or holiday with family, I do not recommend the hotel. I had an issue with following: 1. It says free internet in every website or even the board that you put on street in front of the hotel or their poster in elevator. There was only a 1G/day that you could use, which I would not have chosen in the first place if I knew this was the deal in the beginning. I needed a lot of internet access for my work, and end up paying for it everyday for the additional dataa. When I spoke to the front desk staff that I was not happy with the internet, the staff told me that "It was not the hotel who stated free internet (which people usually think it is unlimited access) but 3rd party website who stated, however it was clearly stated "free internet" on any of the hotel poster, vacant street board and it doesn't say 1G/day limited internet access. The staff also added, "I am welcome to write an review/complain regarding the internet issue if I have problem rather than giving free internet. If you need internet for your work or staying with the family, this could be an issue. 2. The key chip fell off in the middle of the night where I went out to buy something next door for 5 min. Luckly I was able to call the duty manager and they came very quick, but I was blamed that I may broke the key.

Not easy to discuss booking with staff. We were told we absolutely couldn't check in after 9pm, then on a second phone call, told it was no problem. No parking on site or even temporary spots outside the hotel, so you have to park illegally to check in, to then receive your parking permit, $25 at a nearby parking garage until 10am following morning. Try your luck at the city car parks over the road. Staff mostly foreigners, all good, until one lady didn't understand a question asked, so she just ignored us and kept repeating herself. Room was fine, small TV in lounge, none in bedroom. Bed was two smaller beds pushed together. Bathroom was clean, severe lack of towel hooks though. Gym was ok, broken cable machine which we fixed. Treadmill, bike and bench that you can't adjust height rack height without it becoming a incline bench. Location was awesome. No cleaning in our room, stayed 3 nights. You have to remove your own rubbish etc at end of stay. 4 days after stay, we still hadn't received security deposit. I rang, they insisted it was done. An hour later it magically appeared in bank account. Won't stay again.

Dirty and smelly place. Room had white stains on curtains and walls, don't want to even think what was that. Parking is horrible! Charging 25$ for a public parking spot which is 10min away.

Hands down the worst hotel I have stayed in my life! The service is terrible. The bathroom was in such a state you couldn't tell if they had even cleaned it! You can barely see the TV as it's so small and there is no TV in the bedroom. On the plus size the rooms are quite big. The showers are Ferral and look like they've Been there since the 90s. Would never stay here again in my life. If you're staying in Auckland either spend decent money or don't bother.

Stayed there a couple of nights during our trip in North Island. Took the shuttle from the Auckland airport, they dropped us at the doorstep. Checking in was quick. Walking towards the city centre was easy (coming back was not that easy as we have to climb the hill). Room size was fine, but the room we got had no views. Bathroom was tidy. There were no much restaurants nearby.

It was clean enough but so tiny really only suitable for 1 person not 2 people and a baby No air conditioning just a fan which was needed as room was an airless cell otherwise Is advertised as serviced but no service during our 3 night stay However is in a good location close to city centre and walking distance Would I recommend? Probably not.

Shoebox like with patched walls and dirty bathroom, noisy,, not much to recommend it sadly. Have stayed at other Waldorfs in Auckland and enjoyed them not this one however.

No A/C no balcony budget bed mmm really? I suggest if you're looking for 3+ star accommodation try elsewhere. The rating is BOGUS.

I was visiting Auckland for a week and found Waldorf Tera Apartments to be a good budget place, especially since it is located in the heart of the city. The apartments are small but clean, I was on the top most floor so the view was also nice. There isn't free Wi-Fi but the plan on offer seems to be of decent price. Considering they are budget apartments I found them adequate for my stay and didn't have any particular issues. I would recommend them to someone who wants to stay in the city on a budget.

Don't want to read it all? Stay here if it's for a couple of days; any longer, it's not worth it. Initial location was great; very close to Queen St, restaurants, supermarkets, etc. However, it's set on top of a steep hill. Parking was average. Across the road in public parking, there are no stairs, and you exit each time through a car exit. Spaces are "public" and require a Waldorf authorisation slip on your dash, or else you get a fine of $65.00 like I did. Front staff seemed disinterested and unenthusiastic, but information was given promptly. On the other hand, room service were very kind and outgoing. However, they didn't clean the rooms too well, nor did they vacuum. Rooms were great little spaces. Two bathrooms and one bedroom. They are actually rather small, and the pictures on the site make them appear larger than they are. No condiments were provided apart from sugar/coffee and milk. Inadequate amount of dishwashing liquid provided. Hand washing soap in a dispenser found in public bathrooms are in the showers. The doors on the showers are old-fashioned and broke several times. Both shower heads were also leaking. Wi-Fi is good, and pricing is fair. TV was definitely a major set back. Limited to ten channels that no one would enjoy watching. The one movie channel repeats movies in sets of three for at least half a day. The one fan that was provided did not work. And each morning, a garbage truck would come to collect the garbage.

Nice one — we stayed for 3 weeks in a modern 1 bedroom/2 bathrooms for 3 weeks. Great location excellent value for this type of location. We were very happy with this accommodation.

All reception staffs are unkind and willfullness.

Very goog value in a central Auckland location. Safe and clean very suitable for oir stay for 3 nights in Auckland City in June 2013. We can recommend it.

Had a bad experience booked for one week charges $960 worst quality and serviced not even worth to pay $250 false advertisement The Manager is so rude A J I would have stayed five star Hotel if I would know about Waldrof Tertra so unprofessional even their employee was complaining about the manager he is always rude to every one Honestly not recommended I want to complaint about this and its better not operate the service if they cant maintain standards.

False Advertising. I found a deal online that claimed 70 dollars a night and 350 for the week, but when I called to reserve a room, I was told that deal is not available. Upon mentioning the specific advertisement that I saw, management told me that it was a third party website whose information they don't control. Do they take me for a fool? Who put up that information in the first place.
