Owners Make you feel welcome at home first day I felt like I was already home.

We booked one night when we were already in the airport. They picked us up few minutes after the calling for 7$ per Person. Nice place, very friendly and helpful staff. ATM, Supermarket & restaurants are nearby. Kitchen with all you need to cook available + free coffee & tea. Laundry + dryer costs 8$.

Very comfortable, clean and relaxing. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful. We will be back again.

Me and my daughter stayed overnight here beginning of April 2016 before we flew back to Perth. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, when I rang Mikki about my booking she was a little hard to understand, but on arrival she was very welcoming. Although this place is old it was warm and cosy. Showers were ok, nice and clean. There is a diary/supermarket 5 min walk up the road. Close to the airport. We enjoyed our stay here and will definitely stay again when I go home to NZ :)

Absolutely terrible attitude and costume service! I recommend you to speak with them on the phone before you are booking a room here-It may change your mind and to not want to stay here. I booked this hostel before I was going to fly out from New Zealand, but after a bad phone call with them I chose to cancel it. I called them to make sure that I would have an airport shuttle from and to the airport. I talked to a woman who sounded really uncongenial and unfriendly. They were un-proffesional, they could not answer my question and they hanged up on me. The second time I called them, the same woman refused to let me talk to a manager and called me different things. THIS "COSTUM SERVICE" IS NOT OKAY! I have never spoken to a more un-professional person. After I cancelled my booking, I received an mail from them, calling me more things. I think that this hostel is not trustable!

Very unfriendly and unprofessional managers! They are blaming you for their mistakes and tell you that the guests are pissing them off due to various reasons. The managers simply don't fit in the tourism branche. Just don't stay there! If you don't believe me go and read a few random ratings on tripadvisor. Don't ruin your NZ trip by staying here! If you do, you have been warned!

Busy transfer lodge, small rooms with very thin walls, bring ear plugs. Toilets and showers are clean, huge kitchen and community room. Owner is helpful and friendly.

Drastically overpriced — the sign out front says budget accomodation and it would be at $80 a night not $200 — very old and run down accommodation.

We spent a few hours here before leaving for the airport at 4 a. M. It's a friendly place and we were comfortable, the guy running it really wanted to be sure we would have a peaceful night. The kitchen is big, shared and there is some free stuff clearly labelled as such, e. G milk, pasta, sauces. The room we eventually settled in was some sort of outside cabin. The room and bathrooms were tatty. I would stay again, I have no complaints, but actually if I could get nearer the airport I probably would. Be aware you have to pay for the shuttle. The Ibis is close enough to walk, and not much more for the room…

It was great so close to the airport as we had to be there 4 am, A big thanks to joe for getting us there on time would book again next year when we come back over Again thanks so much.

Quiet and lovely, the Mom and Pop owners made us feel right at home by feeding the wood fire stove. Ample communal space and very clean bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen. There is a little farm accross the street for fresh produce and shops down the road for other essentials.

They have dropped off shuttle early morning to airport It is convinient for early flight to catch.

You get what you pay for in my mind ; this place is cheap so yes you can't expect all the luxury. It's more hostel styled than I expected. Free airport shuttle is nice.

Well what can I say, I would consider this place for a boarding kennel, but then I think my dog would object, we where made to pay over the phone, on arrival we decided not to stay and asked for our money back, but was told no refunds, so I guess the room was then rented again to some poor sole, the front person was very rude and spoke little English, good luck if you stay here, as we will let anyone know this place is not worth even 1 star:.

When I arrived at the lodge on the 12th of February 2014. I paid for my room and was shown a bed in a dormitory. I told the lady that I had booked a double room with ensuite and showed her the booking confirmation. She said that they had no room for me only the dorm bed at the price I had booked and that there must have been a mix up on the computer. Needless to say I wasn't very happy as there was no way I was going to sleep in a dorm room with strangers. This was the whole reason that I made this booking in September 2013 so that I could get a good price but they do not supply bedrooms with ensuites at the price I booked. I did receive a refund but this was a very busy weekend for accommodation and I was unable to book anything else at such short notice.

Stayed there two times (spontaneously). Really friendly, helpful people. Airport pickup and transfer included. Perfect hostel if you need to catch an early connection.

I landed in Auckland at 6 am with no place to stay. Called these guys at 8 and they came in 10 mins and gave me a great room at a great price with extra blankets, a warm fire and coffee. This is my second stay and this is my fav place in Auckland.
