Delta Hotel

Waking up to the view of water and ships was amazing. The hotel has a unique, artistic feel with ship and sailing themed decor.
We loved our suite with a bath in the room, and breakfast on the terrace by the Botlek River was a highlight.
Highly recommended!

We spent 1 night here, unfortunately we didn't leave with a satisfied opinion about this place, and there are a few reasons: — sophisticated menu with high prices, We couldn't decide what to eat as the menu was too complicated, without any detailed information.
— breakfast included or paid, doesn't matter — it's a self service — they prepare everything and let you wait in a line and pick what you want if you have anything left, really bad idea for this type of hotel.
— old TV in the room — yes, it was a plasm TV but not a smart one to connect anything, which in 2025 should be mandatory for all the customers.
— the internet was great, high navigation speed.
Overall, it looks fancy but when you leave, you take a sour taste with you from the accommodation. During the checkout I asked the receptionist if she needed anything else, other than the card from the room and she said no. That's all, ridiculous service.

The Delta Hotel is a nice hotel located at the waterfront with several rooms looking out over the water. The metro station with a quick connection to Rotterdam or Hoek van Holland is within walking distance. The restaurant has a good menu and atmosphere. The staff is great and the overall service good. The rooms are clean and big enough. No complaints there.
For me personally, a major disappointment is the quality of the beds (or rather matrasses). They are just too soft to get a good night's sleep. In my experience, this has gotten worse over the many years I have been a guest. This is not what I expect from a hotel and my review is rated accordingly.

My husband and I had dinner tonight at Grand Cafe Delta hotel, Vlaardingen. It was wonderful including the food & hospitality. There was a waiter name Pepijn. He was very warm & friendly. He served and recommended us really good food.
Hotel was also really nice and has great view. Thank you! 😊😊

Very nice view and staff is helpful. We reserved a basic room and we got an upgrade with the view. The dinner was very good as well and generally the decoration is well done. I could tell the hotel was more suited for business events but we still had a very good time for holidays.

Excellent hotel, very friendly. Conveniently located, very close to railway station at walking distance. Great scenery, bang in the middle of Holland's industrial heartland. Booked directly via hotel site which worked well. Loved it.

Pro's:
-Food was very good and plenty.
-Views.
-Big room (s)
-Balcony at some rooms with seats&table to enjoy the action on the river.
Con's:
-Airco not capable of cooling the room (3, 5KW), also the maintenance for it looks like it was a long time ago, and it was a old one as well, so replacing it should be priority.
-No mosquito screens on the windows.
-Public parking, so also joint smokers/dealers etc park here in the evening to do their stuff.

The hotel is like the region around it: grubby, dirty, in need of heavy renovation. On arrival, the welcome was unfriendly and certainly not enthusiastic. The room was dirty on arrival (no polished impression) and the carpet around the bed is also dirty. There were even traces of semen on the curtain. The bathroom and certainly the bathtub itself is also in need of a thorough renovation. The minibar in the room did not work, unless the intention is to use it as a microwave. The minibar was repaired only after the 2nd day and after we reported it to reception for the 2nd time.
The food is not much better either. What was supposed to be hot (fried egg, bacon, …) had cold and what was supposed to be cold (charcuterie) was lukewarm.
In short, definitely not worth repeating.
Worst hotel ever.

We have been going to this hotel for 10 years and have always enjoyed the experience. However this time we noticed that the standards have slipped. Previously we have had tea/coffee making facilities in our room, and also a refrigerator, but no longer. Having been informed that tea/coffee arrangements had been removed on the basis of hygiene, it was somewhat surprising to find an uncover dish of smoke salmon on the breakfast bar every morning.
However the view of the river remains as lovely as ever.

Great hotel with excellent service. We’ve been here a couple of times. The beds are comfortable and the view is special watching the big ships. The breakfast was very diverse. We had a great cocktail late evening. I forgot my charger and Delta hotel is sending it back to me charging only the costs of shiping. We’ll be back!

Delta hotel is a very pleasant place to stay. We were welcomed by a very kind receptionist. The room was comfortable and clean. The view fantastic. Breakfast was lovely! A nice variety of bread, eggs, yoghurts etc. And the crew was very kind!

We enjoyed the experience all together. The staff is really nice and welcoming, including the ladies in charge of cleaning the room. Breakfast is great with a wide variety of food. We had breakfast outside with a view on the river and port of Rotterdam with a lot of traffic and it was quite an attraction. The room was comfortable and the bed as if sleeping on a cloud. The place is quiet and we recommand it. Rotterdam is easy to reach by Metro. We did not use the car.

Just great. Good service, best location. Again and again.
