We spent 2017 5 nights in the Hotel de Ruyter in August.
Including. Because this was so well rated…
We were, however, extremely disappointed.
The entire hotel is extremely noisy so we could hear the snoring of other guests, conversations, every step and the watering of other guests at night.
The door to the bathroom in the hotel room does not close with the floor, so that every toilet can be heard.
The breakfast at the hotel was less than average.
As cold cuts there were cheap packaged sausages and cheeses. The tomatoes only tasted like water.
Especially in Holland tomatoes and especially cheese should be offered fresh from the region.
The positive thing is that there is freshly squeezed orange juice, which you can not take yourself and which is served in mini glasses.
On the first floor, there is a breakfast and lounge area.
There you could stay in the evening until 22:00 pm.
Before nine o'clock in the evening, the tables for breakfast were covered the next morning and felt that they were not wanted and disturbed when they were being covered.
It was very uncomfortable… then you should shorten the time or just cover after 22:00 pm.
Especially because we paid just under 800 euros for 5 nights plus breakfast, our stay at the Hotel de Ruyter was not nice and definitely not recommended!

Nice but a bit dated.

We stayed for one night. The room was simple but we didn't spend much time there. The owner of the hotel was very friendly and a great host. The breakfast was fantastic, one of the best I've had in a hotel. We had a great day in Vlissingen. The location of the hotel is great, close to the boulevard.
