A beautifully laid-out campsite with plenty of orchard trees and a lake. There are lovely play areas for children, as well as a few farm animals to look at. The toilet and shower facilities are very modern and clean. Although the site is close to the motorway, it is separated from it by a small coniferous forest, so you hardly notice it. A train station (7 minutes to Utrecht) is just under a 20-minute walk away.

We were disappointed by the unfriendly and rigid attitude of the staff. It was a very hot day in July (35°C), and we asked if we could drive our car to the camping site to quickly drop off some chairs and groceries for our son’s birthday party. The staff refused, even though they themselves were driving heavy equipment through the gate at the same time.
We then asked if they could help transport the items using their small vehicle, but this was also refused. We were simply told to walk, despite the extreme heat and our clear request for a brief exception to drop off the materials. We found the staff’s attitude unnecessarily strict and almost demeaning, which is not what we expect when paying customers ask for a small, reasonable favour at a holiday location.
Additionally, the campsite is quite pricey, especially considering that it is directly next to one of the biggest motor highways in the Netherlands, which makes it quite noisy.

2.5 stars rounded up to 3. There’s a few really great things and a few really annoying things. The campsite has great playgrounds and activities for kids and the staff was very friendly. The food in the restaurant was really good! Less nice things: unfortunately the campsite allows day visitors to pay to use the facilities. On a sunny, warm day — the already pretty big and full campsite — is unbelievably busy. The bathrooms are brand new and super nice, however at the end of the day they were extremely dirty. For some reason there was tons of water covering every single counter next to the sinks — so bad that there was water dripping onto the floor and you couldn’t put your stuff anywhere. In the family showers the floor was one big puddle of water making it unusable. Not sure why people would leave it in this state, but also noticed no one from the staff in the bathrooms later in the day (only in the morning) cleaning up. Unfortunately if the wind is in the wrong direction you do hear the A12 quite well — even through earplugs.
