This place was booked by us in April for a group outing during a weekend. The place was fabulous. There was a large kitchen, which was extremely well supplied (two ovens, dishwashers, more than enough plates etc. ). All rooms were well connected to the main room, the roof terrace, terrace or playground. A decent bathroom, separate toilet and bed made the stay comfy. A nice details is that the venue is part of a historic pump house. The environment is very attractive also for a walk/bike trip.
We went to the restaurant. Nice balcony with a great view. The staff could be more friendly though…

This time, I ended up at "Hotel Moeke Mooren" in Appeltern, nestled in the beautiful Maas en Waal countryside. A place where hospitality is paramount. Upon arrival, I received a warm welcome, and the receptionist gave me ample time to explain everything. I reached my room via stairs and an elevator. The room has a spacious bathroom with a shower, vanity, and toilet. A hairdryer was also provided. The room features a comfortable double bed with light switches within easy reach. I couldn't find any outlets next to the bed, so I grabbed my extension cord from my bag to keep my phone and tablet on my bedside table. There's also a desk with wall-mounted outlets. The room also has air conditioning and tea and coffee making facilities. For my instant coffee and instant soup, I use my own (silent, foldable) kettle. The reason I don't use the provided coffee and tea making facilities is the amount of noise they make in the middle of the night. Next to the desk, there's also a narrow wardrobe with a safe, etc. A TV is mounted on the wall (I use my tablet). A balcony/roof terrace overlooks the Maas river, which is a welcome bonus in good weather. Besides meeting rooms, the hotel also offers pétanque and bowling alleys, not to mention a restaurant. The breakfast buffet is well-prepared. All in all, a great stay.
