We enjoyed our stay at Bastion, Bussum. It is so handy to the train station, as well as being close to the main township.

Nice hotel with very good public transport access. But asmterdam is always expensive and so this hotel!

The hotel is well located with a big parking lot, the staff is nice. Our room had a view on a cimentery but it's still nice and clean. Maybe the wall are too thin because at 5am we heard the TV of the other room next to ours.

Very below average hotel. Noisy and poor maintained rooms, not so friendly staff and very very bad food.

Great location! Just steps away from the Bussum Zuid train stop.

Very sweet hotel and good price. Have a double room for 60 euros to get in the Easter holidays.
Parking spaces are free of charge.
Directly at the railway station in Bussum Zuid 25 minutes later you will be in the centre of Amsterdam.
Rooms are small but adequate and clean.
The staff were also all friendly.
We would stay there again.

It's comfortable, no frills, close to. A parking and displacement… That's important, if you move without a car.

Had a good stay, nice and quiet area (except for the occasional train). Really friendly and down to earth staff. Food was good too. One downside was the shower head in my room was mounted really low for me (I'm around 2 meters) and couldn't be adjusted. Wi-Fi speeds are ~4/4 Mbit with ~15ms for anyone wondering.

The hotel is fine if you need to arrive by train. It's right at the station. The rooms are big. The furniture is comfortable. The old towels.

If you are into the quiet and serene environment, the Bastion is the place for you! Am loving it.

Good location. Just beside Bussum rail station. It's not a luxury hotel, but if you are looking for a moderate accommodation around Hilversum area, Bastion Hotel is worth trying.

Ideal for last-minute booking to visit Amsterdam. If you don't want to spend 300€+ somewhere in center for 1 night. You have access to train, bus. Free parking.

Not impressed, sorry! Reception is smelly (filled with stale smoke as smoking room is adjacent). Ill designed, small bathroom (in order to wash your face or brush your teeth the floor gets wet). Ill insulated (could hear every guest in hallway). In our case, the chamber maid forgot to clean the toilet-therefore the bathroom and our room was very smelly! Ill designed head lamp (can't sit up to read as your head will hit lamp — and I'm short! ). OK place to just sleep and leave — not cozy or welcoming in a warm kinda way.
