The fantastic view and the immediate proximity to the sea, and absolutely dog friendly …

The location is amazing, the breakfast great! Also the dinner (arrangement) was great! In a few steps you are both on the beach and in the village. We are very excited and will be back!

The location on the beach is perfect, with luck you get a free parking directly at the hotel.
The reception was very cordial, we got a delicious coffee, and the dog a water and treat.
The beach is very spacious and clean, you can walk many kilometers. The sea is clean, with little swell.
Unfortunately, there is a steelworks in the area. Sometimes a not so good smell blows over.

Great hotel. Lovely outlook over the sea. Easy access to the beach. Bicycle storage garage for our bikes. Restaurant was closed but there was a restaurant open on the beach until 11pm.

The staff are very friendly. Breakfast very very good and this priceless view! Everything is clean and tidy. Bed was very comfortable.

Nice hotel, nice staff (also multilingual). Free parking. The hotel is located on a dune and is located at the highest point on the beach. This gives you a great view. Sandy beach is a 3-minute walk away.

The hotel has a great location right on the beach and sea (3 min walk).
The rooms are functional. However, it is noticeable that they have come a little in the meantime.
However, everything is very clean.

The breakfast is on the whole quite good.
There is a parking place directly at the hotel (approx. 20 parking spaces) Should this be full there is still a public car park below the property.

The location with sea views and the endless long unspoilt sand dunes of the beach in the direction of Castricum are beautiful. The proximity to the industry in the Background less. Comfort room good size, beds fine, cleanliness is less good. Breakfast plentiful and good, staff friendly!

Very generic Dutch Sea side hotel. The rooms have two connected beds, which is quite uncomfortable if you are staying as a couple, but it would be pretty unusual to find in the Netherlands around the Sea side are hotels of the same class which are much more different. It is a 4 star hotel, but do not expect any luxury. I'm not sure whether this is some local star system, as I wouldn't rate it for more than 3 stars. When I was there the sauna was not functioning. The food is also quite standard unexciting Dutch food.

Very nice staff, supermarket in the immediate vicinity as well as very good restaurant everywhere in the beautiful villages.
The rooms are large and bright.
I will definitely go on holiday there again.

Went to hotel Het Hoge Duin for a sort of lecture from Oersterk about the health conditions of me and some other participants. It was really interesting. The room where we were was a little bit cold but not too cold. We had a lot of room, a lot of different sorts of thee and there was also coffee. The toilets were clean and the food was great.

Great service. Very kind staff who helped at the social event that I attended.

Unfortunately, I was not so excited. The hotel offers to be German-speaking. False indication. The hotel room and especially the bathroom was freezing cold, despite heating on 5. The night I slept in the sweater. Also the hallway was cold and smelled funny.
I had a Groupongutschein, whether that was the parking rail, I do not know!?!? We checked out one day earlier. The receptionist apologized for the things that murmured in Dutch because of the Groupongutschein, but offered me a free night in the summer in the hotel area.
The room was clean so far, but we had a couple of hair on the pillow. As if someone had slept. The bathroom was okay. But I know other and also cheaper hotels/pensions from Holland. There was always a kettle with cups and tea for the guests. Or a little chocolate on the pillow. There was nothing of it. A little disappointing.
The restaurant was nicely decorated. The staff very nice. The menu was very thin, the prices were the opposite.
Well. In the good and the whole… I'm not going there again.

Well, how to describe this hotel… it's not so easy for me because light and shadows are close together. But let's start with the situation.
Location: The location of the hotel is outstanding. It is located right in the first beach location with access to the beach. And due to the elevated position on the dune one has a great view of the surrounding area and the cute little town. But only partially… Depending on the viewpoint and the view direction, a large heavy industrial sector is a bit cloudy.
It should also be mentioned that you are in direct flight from Amsterdam Airport. In the rooms themselves we could not even perceive any aircraft noise. But as soon as you leave the hotel, the noise of the aircraft can be clearly seen.
The rooms: The two rooms we inhabited were spacious and pleasingly furnished. Also the beds were very comfortable and made a great overnight stay.
A split image was evident in the cleanliness and the condition of the rooms. Unfortunately, one of the rooms was already very inhabited which showed particularly clearly in the bathroom, with dirty seals, danced hinges etc. And so definitely not worthy of the hotel and the stars. The second room also showed that it was different. The furnishings were impeccable and a very well kept impression.
The restaurant/Breakfast: The breakfast is ok but the extra charge is not worth it. There could be a slightly larger selection of fruit and cold cuts, even fish were sought in vain.

The staff was very kind and the room was okay because some things were not orderly cleaned. We liked the breakfast.

Very easy to reach, the room with balcony is top furnished. The view at the side of the sea is gorgeous at sunset. The chemical plant on the left hardly falls into view. The beach is a staircase far away and invites you to take a nice walk directly by the sea.

I booked into the single economy room which appears to be the poor relative of the hotel. An extension lead was resting on the bed headboard, a lead from the TV hanging loose from the wall, TV arm from the wall propelling the TV in a forward position and no other, broken light and lack of practical items such as full lenght mirror, hairdryer and safe. In addition I discovered from staff these rooms are not 4 star, they are in fact 3 star! The hotel is advertised as a 4 star, which is a misrepresentation. I believe, however, the main bedrooms are amazing. The positives are the staff are lovely, the position by the beach is amazing and they provide a good breakfast.

Sea view is a must. We visit yearly for an evening on the beach. The hotel is a little outdated, but overall clean. Views can't be beat and great location, just a short walk to the beach.

Hotel on an unique location on the top of a dune. Beautifull views over the Northsea. Nice rooms with normal equipment.

Nice and quiet place within walking distance of most things, great seaside view, elegant rooms and a great bar with very friendly staff, those you meet elsewhere in the hotel are also friendly and helpful, always asking if you are okay and if theres something you need. Rooms are elegant, functional (lots of sockets for our gadgets) and the bathrooms are very nice. They have a very large parking area below and its free, great place to go by if you are driving. I would definitively come back here again. (Large room with seaside view)

I stayed there as it is a cheaper than average hotel. The advantage is its quietness (although the noise from the nearby factory is very present), as well as the sea a few steps away. Breakfast is a marvel! The downside: the rooms are dusty, the sheets not very clean.

Less than a 3 minute walk to the beach the hotel is located up a small hill. Rooms and hotel furniture look ok. Staf consists out of young people but also some olders ones but very friendly. Bit of a mishap the first day with food. For the rest average to good.

Was once here years ago and had absolutely nothing to "find fault". Attended also at that time the hotel-own restaurant.
This time (2013), I had my little niece and was therefore often times in the evening restaurant.
The wine of the neighboring table was opened on our table. Several times I was jostled by the waiter (intentionally?, which I let be question time). "Bread and butter" before the appetizer was intentionally omitted. The waiter was his "Deutschenhass" probably do not hide what a hotel operation absolute "No. GO" is and an eyesore for the otherwise tadelose hotel! In the presence of my niece (6 years) I broke no quarrel from the fence, is arguably understandable! What a shame, what a shame, a shame. My conscience forbids me a recommendation ( (. ) )

Its a nicely located hotel. Rooms are spacious and service is homely. I would conclude to say its gives true value for your money.
