Best restaurant ever… you can eat delicious food (my favourite lunch tip, A7), you can visit the Casino… or go watch a movie, and so forth… I love this place.

❤ Hotel Van der Valk. Spacious rooms, good beds, perfect walking to Hoorn center. And the staff is great, not to forget the breakfast.

I have never spend the night here, because we live near, but I truly love the restaurant. My wife is a big fan of their “live cooking” which only takes place in the weekend. And during the week of you birthday the dinner is free for the birthday man/woman. Lovely food for reasonable prices. Would recommend.

Loving this hotel. Our first stay. The staff are excellent, the coffee in the bar area (as is the small breakfast) is excellent… plenty of parking and it’s so close to where we need to be.

Nice hotel, with clean spacious rooms. And the adjourning movie theater makes it perfect for a night away. Breakfast buffet is also very nice and offers a lot of choices.

First time in a Van der Valk Hotel and it wont be the last. Best hotel I have ever stayed in from reception staff to the cleanliness of the rooms. Only downside we had to go eat out as the buffet lunch was booked up. I advise to pre book if you dont want a la carte BEFORE you arrive Pool was disappointing small for size of hotel and cold but was on 14th floor so good views. A hot Jacuzzi would be good where the running machine is. There are only a few cardio and multi gym there. Rooms are large and so well soundproofed. I have to mention the bathroom as its massive. The shower is a double one and the bath is big enough for two and so clean. It feels like there is only you in the hotel. In conclusion I would stay here again Thanks to reception who translated the a la carte menu for us.

I visit regularly for work and it's always a great stay. Large rooms, clean, staff are friendly and helpful, beds are comfy and food/drink is brilliant. Looking forward to staying again!

Very friendly Staff, top service, pleasant and upscale atmosphere. The Rooms are very clean and offer a lot of Comfort, and there is also an excellent Breakfast buffet here.

The Hotel is very nice. It is located just off the A7 Motorway in the Netherlands. However, you don't get anything from the Traffic. We had an Upgrade to a superior suite. A great Room and at an acceptable Price. Our Dog was also allowed into the Hotel and was able to sleep with us in the Room. Behind the Hotel is an artificial Pond with a 1km long Walking Round.
In the same Building there is a Cinema and a Casino, as well as a Restaurant.
All in all, we can recommend the Hotel to anyone.

All travelers by car — go here. Let not be confused by the large size of the hotel and the presence of a casino — none of this is heard and felt. Very good breakfasts.

We visites the Live Cooking Brunch. Impeccable as usual. Good food, good prices.

We own an electric car and we chose this hotel for it's charging capabilitys but they have only got 2 charge points… That is really not enough! 80% of the time we could not charge the car…

Good clean bar nice service and even tough it was almost full you could stil have a normal conversation.

Hotel is good and as usual with this chain of Hotels/Restaurants the food is quite alright. Although, on a sunday afternoon when it can get quite busy and people are buzzing in and out the customer service might get a little slow and not so great.

The hotel chain van der Valk is great. If you want to book a room in the Netherlands, you should always look at this hotel chain. Great value for money.

Van der Valk hotels normally have nice foods for breakfast, lunch and also dinner. So I had lunch in this hotel in Hoorn but end up with very disappointing experience. The waiters and waitress were very difficult to get attention and the cheese & walnut sandwitch I had almost broke my teeth. There was a very sharpe and quite bit walnut shell inside of the food… when I complain about this to a waitress she gave me the look 'so. I don't know what you want'. No appologies what so ever. I would recommand anyone, if you have to eat here, you should choose a menu with eggs. At least you won't get heart badly.

The hotel was fantastic. In the pictures the hotel was already great, but in real it surpassed our wishes and ideas. Especially rooms and food as well as service were very good. The hotel was particularly conspicuous by the high-quality and delicious food and multilingual service. There are no suggestions for improvement.

We wen for a high tea in the restaurant. There wasn't to much choice in tea flavours, but the food tasted amazing.

It was a great hotel. Atbfirst they would not let us in because we were all 17 but they made an execption for us wich was great. The pool and sauna were amazing and the room was spectaqular. Nice big bath and shower.

Great views, terrific breakfast, easy to get to and into town. Really enjoyed our stay.

Not cheap but new and very spaceous. Good restaurant too… although one of the dishes was way too spicy! Also, the bath tub could not be emptied during 2 consecutive nights. Pity. But still recommended.

Hotel staff are very kind and helpful, buffet breakfast was tasty and varied, room was clean and well furnished. All of those factors in a beautiful location make for a great experience. Only downside is the lack of restaurants/activities within walking distance.

I hate casino's, but nice staff, restaurant better then expected for a place like this and the cinema is good. So as a hotel near a highway pretty entertaining.

Very nice Hotel and the Breakfast is top.

The restaurant part of this hotel is an illuminating experiment in social engineering, perfectly designed to maximize profits. An example to all who want to learn how to rip people off. It's an all you can eat concept, but with a twist. 1. The plates are extremely small, so that single slice of bread will already fill 2/3th of your plate. The result is that you feel filled up more quickly. Moreover, when you try to put a decent serving of food on one of these tiny little plates, your friends and family will try to correct you for over eating. Going back for a second serving will cause the same effect. And who wants to get up for a second serving during a perfectly good conversation anyway. It's a brilliant tactic. 2. All the cheap stuff, like salad, pasta and bread, is there in abundance. The more luxurious expensive stuff can only be obtained by standing in line, waiting for a serving. Every ten minutes or so, the person serving it will magically disappear for five minutes, leaving you to fill up on bread and salad again. 3. At nine a clock they close shop completely. It's even impossible to get a tea after nine. They will first dim the lights to let you know it's over, then make the lights so bright that you are made to feel uncomfortable. It really works. We left. For decades now, the Van der Valk family have been brilliant at making money over the backs of hard working people who don't know any better.
