Nice place but very crowded.

Friendly service amazing view of the water front — unfortunately the soup was not a success. 1-10 6.5 for the soup.

The staff are very friendly and Hotel has a nice bar.

Great brewery, hotel, restaurant and bar. With live jazz.

Great place… 15 minutes walking from the Amsterdam Central Station… amazing view over the canal… in a historic naval base. Clean rooms with big windows… a diferent place full of carisma"" of 60's… the staff were helpful and nice! I will return!

We hosted a gathering for 80 people in a room beside the bar (spilling out on to the terrace) and the staff were amazingly helpful, easy going and friendly. We even managed a special gluten free snack vegan menu for the whole evening. Highly recommended.

Wonderful located at the heart of our capital, terrace with view on the water and Scheepvaartmuseum, live music when I was there, good food and you there is a pier (jetty) where you can take a dip in the water. Its a popular place so in peak-season quite often you have to wait for 30 min at the bar. Great place.

What a gem of a quirky hotel! Delightful retro decor coupled with most friendly staff will bring a smile to your face. Delicious poached eggs after a good night’s sleep on a comfy bed. Fast internet, great view, flat white. I’ve run out of boxes to tick!

Really beautiful location. Food is really good too, prices a bit high but the location is quite particular and "elegant" so it's reasonable.

Very pleasant and helpful staff. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Furniture a little dated but OK. Coffee and tea available on each floor. Restaurant good.

A peaceful oasis. In a city center that's bustling with pedestrians, bikers and cars in between, this little hotel is located in a tranquil setting on old military terrain. Previously an Officers' Mess, it was turned into a hotel two years ago, keeping a lot of the original layout, interior and… furniture it seems. This gives the place a pretty dated look, but that's part of its magic. We only spent a night here. Very kind people working there, everyone speaks good English. Comfy beds. Solid heating (though might get pretty warm in midsummer, I guess). Tasty breakfast selection, plus a full restaurant for lunch and dinner, with local dishes. Lots of people seem to come from outside of the hotel, so having a reservation is helpful. There's a full, proper bar too, with a great view on the harbor, and beer brewed right there, in the basement.

The hotel is very well located, a bit outside of the centre, which gives it a quiet setting. However, in 10 min walk you have joined the city centre. The staff is very friendly, the vintage furniture immerses you in the years 50' 60', very nice! The room is clean, beautiful view on the canal, the bedding is a little soft but I slept like a baby! Small modern shower room. We took a "small breakfast" 5.70€ : perfect, and we have dinner at the hotel on the last night it was very, very good! only downside the walls are not very thick (or poorly insulated? ) we hear very well the neighbors We had the luck of having neighbors only on the last night so we were not bothered. I would recommend this hotel and we will stay there again most definitely!

Located at a 20/25 min walk from Dam Square, is placed in a very tidy and clean, excellent also the cleanliness of the rooms, the restaurant, and the artisan brewery that serves more than 7 types of beer produced by them.

Stayed hear for two nights. Great place and fantastic food and beer.

Hotel pension style art-deco located a 10min walk from the Central Station (Centraal Station), next to the Maritime Museum (large white-fronted mansion with a large wooden pirate ship) and, from the Nemo Museum (modern, boat-bow shape where large stairs lead to u N Large Cafe-bar-Restaurant with a nice view of the canals, the beautiful old boats of the museum and the city.
Located in a large courtyard and a green park, with a nice view of the canals water, making it a pretty quiet place.
3 floors with a nice glass elevator, 1 coffee-bar-lunch area and 1 room for breakfast and dinner.
They also have their micro brewery "Brouwerij" since 2015 with good local beers that vs can taste on the spot.
The cafe-bar and the restaurant are not only accessible by the guests, from time to time musical evenings are organized there. (1 Guitar + 1 piano are also available).
And, 1 WDM terrace near the water with a view of the canals.
Several small lounges scattered on the ground floor and in the floors are also available with large sofas, armchairs, TV, billiards, library, board games, …
On each floor a small living room with a kettle and tea-coffee available for free.
The rooms are non smoking and make about 10m2, small but clean, functional and cosy.
1 King size bed with good bedding, 1 TV, 1 small washbasin with mirror DS bedroom, 1 front desk with 2 chairs, 1 small wardrobe and small wardrobe.

Bar of the pesion serves their amazing brewed beers. Homeland brew. Great Spelt, IPA and saison beer! Great for a afternoon beer with great views.

I only stayed here for 1 night but I had a beautiful room with the most amazing view and all at a perfect price. The food was just amazing, brilliant nights sleep. I would recommend Pension Homeland to everyone visiting Amsterdam.

A unique & characterful place, it's 70s decor consistent throughout. Lovely staff, VERY comfortable bed. Great view over harbour towards Centraal Station. Not exactly opulent or traditional luxury, but a very pleasant stay.

Cozy hotel in Amsterdam. The staff​ are very nice and helpful and the bar and restaurant on the ground floor are not that expensive.

Nice place with 70's atmosphere. Bar, restaurant and pension with a view. Also possible to sit outside with a firepit and tables. Service is great and food is good. Home brewery with excellent beers.

Absolutely wonderful staff. Very relaxed, very helpful. The rooms are small and simple, but the restaurant and brewery and neighborhood more than make up for it. I had a fantastic stay.

Laufnah to the city, safer (and cheaper! ) Parking, relaxed, informal atmosphere and super friendly staff, which you will be noted to be working here. Breakfast delicious with excellent coffee.
Clean room with very comfortable mattress. Always happy again.

Serenity and rest can be found here in downtown Amsterdam. Overlooking the waterside, near the docks. Service is fast and friendly. Lunch card is nice and good priced. They brew their own f*ing beer, what more do you want?

We had a great time in your hotel. We were very sensitive to your lovely welcome and to your retro decoration of very good taste. Anyway, we can't wait to come back.

About 20 mins from the Central Station, excellent staff, excellent stay! Welcoming staff from the moment we checked in to singing birthday song and making special drink for my birthday on our last evening… good people! Good food in the restaurant, and good Homeland brew at the bar… Rooms are basic and clean… if you want a home away from home, Highly recommend!

Located in a historic military quarters that's still active. The location is perfect location if you want to be close to the city and quiet at night. Walking distance is about 20 min to the centre, however it's 5 min by bus. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed their breakfast which I thought was very delicious.

Bit weird but it works Sat by the water looking out to an old sail boat in what was the Dutch navy boring 60s offices… now a hotel. It works. Away from dope smelling streets and all the people that love them and I am happy.

Very nice restaurant with friendly staff. In summer time, this is a perfect hidden treasure to sit outside on the terrace.

Great location! So close to central Amsterdam but hotel and its area are very quiet and peaceful. Had a great time there. Highly recomended to everyone, really nice and friendly staff at the reception. Only one thing needs an upgrade — LIFT! Its quicker to take the stairs:)

Nice place on an old Navy base. Beautiful view from the terrace! Need to work on their coffee a bit.

The room was clean and bright. The location was a bit out of the way as there isn't a nearby tram station. It took me a while to recognize the hotels building.

This pension is located a 15-minute walk of Waterlooplein or Neuwmarkt, ideal for visiting Amsterdam. The hotel is established in the former buildings of the Royal Navy. Your house is therefore a house officer. The host is very nice and the view direction of the Central train station is magnificent. The bar brews its own beer, try it absolutely. Tip: if you want to earn a little bit of time… avoid to use the lift… it is… very slow…
