EVERYTHING was perfect during our stay April, 2019. From the front desk, (our fave is Manuel), to the IZAKAYA Restaurant, to the room service, the staff were top notch in all ways. The room was good, especially after I made my "special" rearrangement of the furniture, and our view on the 4th floor was beautiful. The bed was very comfortable and the rain shower was excellent. We enjoyed having coffee and a refrigerator in our room, which was always handled perfectly by those who cleaned every day. 100% will go back and recommend to anyone.

The hotel is superb, it really has the 'WAW factor' sadly, some of the staff let this hotel down, we had quiet a few hiccups with payment, one of the young girls on reception said we haven't paid for the hotel, so I had to provide proof, thr City tax wasnt explained to us correctly, we then woke up in the early hours to find one of the male receptionists in our room, just staring, when we had put the ' do not disturb ' sign on the door & turned off the bell, absolutely freake…d me & my partner out, I brought this matter up at reception and they apologized but have us no explanation to why he was in our room! The hotel is lovely, the staff let it down massively, the customer service is lacking massively! we would not return, the whole situation of one of the staff being in our room has really unsettled me. not good enough for the money we paid!

Most amazing hotel beds I have ever slept on and their breakfast buffet and menu is so good with lots of great quality freshly prepared options. Dinner and room service is great too. Ive stayed here multiple times while on business and I’m never let down. Overall great hotel and excellent staff.

The Sir Albert Hotel was a unique boutique style hotel in the heart of Amsterdam. Our check in experience was the best we have ever had! We were greeted with a complimentary glass of Prosecco and the concierge discussed in detail with us all of the tourist sites and local outdoor farmer's markets for us to visit. He even helped us book tickets to the museums! We used the map that he provided us frequently in order to navigate around the city. We were also able to upgrade our room to a balcony suit for much less than the going rate online. I will definitely stay again next time I am in Amsterdam!

Excellent modern hotel. The room has everything you could need for a weekend — even more so for a dirty weekend away! Staff were extremely helpful and recommended a handful of places to eat based on what we were looking for. Can’t wait to return.

I had an excellent stay. The staff is very welcoming and take every measure to make you feel like a king. Prosecco at check in, personalized welcome in the room. I would definitely stay here again.

Very friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Very dim corridors, and lights in room worked intermittently. Definitely putting form over function! Waitress in restaurant very helpful with our vegan request and they custom made us some delicious dishes. Breakfast expensive. Bistro across road very good. There are 2 brothels next door with ladies in windows. Would therefore not recommend for families.

The Sir Albert is a boutique hotel in every sense. Exploring the contents of any room fully would easily take more time than exploring the largest Hilton’s property. Very comfortable bed, plentiful toiletries, stylish robes, bookshelves stocked with books… The Sir Albert also has the most personable employees I’ve ever met in a hotel, and to top it off, an incredible location. Be sure to inquire about the hippos!

Lovely hotel, restaurant is great! We had a fantastic lunch, best Japanese fusion I have had in ages! High quality and very fresh ingredients.
The hotel has a lovely homey feeling and bedrooms are cool and quirky! Downside is that you have to try a navigate through a door which cannot open completely to get to the toilet, if you are not skinny… you will struggle
Shower room and toilet while cool is too dark and impractical! Team seem lovely and friendly.

Nice modern hotel. The room is functional and clean and modern decor offers coffee-maker with capsules. The bed is very comfortable and the only downside is that some rooms are on the ground floor so something noisy and without much light. The location is very good, quiet, just a step from downtown and with many restaurants and bars around. The hotel bar has always a lot of atmosphere. The staff is very friendly.

Comfortable rooms, friendly staff who went out of there way to make my family comfortable when my daughter was ill.

Great hotel! We got a warm welcome with a glass of Prosecco from a friendly staff member during check in. Room was nicely decorated and the bed was very good! We will be back. Good to be tourist in own country.

A very nice and cosy hotel with a great location. Only recommended!

Great location but can't recommend; for the price, our room was poky & badly designed (impossible to shower without getting floor wet, only shelves for clothes half a foot over my head height & 3/4 light sources that didn't turn off that made the room light overnight). We requested a 1st floor room months ago for the canal views (no reply) but got one on the 4th, in the attic; a slanted rooflight meant noisy rain although the loud bar music until 2am Fri/Sat meant 1st floor could have been equally noisy. Especially frustrating was the uneven service; Maureen at check-in was great, they gave me birthday balloons then at checkout, found we'd been charged 25 euros for the charger that we were leaving in the room. Also no amenities at all at hotel; no gym or breakout space. Generally, given how affordable Amsterdam is, I think you could find better.

Stayed for 4 nights. Clean room and bathroom, very comfortable down cover, pillows and bed. Friendly staff. Complete toiletries. My room had a bottle of water, which was very much appreciated. Coffee machine next to bed, great coffee but the buttons don't work well, took me a few attempts every morning. My only two complaints are breakfast is not included, but a 21 euro buffet. I go out early for work, can't eat a buffet as if it were brunch for people on vocation. And second the room is air heated and very dry. I set the thermometer at 22, still had super dry throat and skin that woke me up in the middle of the night.

I would never write a review but just because it has the rudest "front of house manager" who is not interested to listen to the guests issues and is extremely arrogant I will suggest never ever go to this property! It Below are the issues I faced during my stay in the most beautiful Amsterdam. — 1 week before I arrived at the hotel, I was sent an email that the restaurant is going to have renovation. This plan should have been decided by the hotel months in advance! I had made the booking almost 2 months early and a restaurant was a big reason to book it. The day we arrived at the hotel, the weather was sub zero and this restaurant could have saved us. — They say they a gymnasium but the reality is that you have to walk 12 minutes to a nearby hotel to use a gym. You cannot even shower there. — They have a lounge next to the reception and I was supposed to have a quick business meeting there. But when I came down for the meeting, there were workers working there and I had to go to a nearby cafe for the meeting. I had planned the meeting in the lounge because it was a nice space (photos attached). — There were computer and printer cables running throughout the guest staircase and outside the rooms (photos attached). — The room in which I was staying did not have working lights (photos attached). I have paid to stay at the hotel for all these services and sadly it was a really bad experience.

It feels like a boutique hotel, with a nice human touch, it seems the Dutch way to hospitality for what I experienced! Loved my stay, relatively quiet area yet close to central locations.

Could not fault this hotel. The service was great from the moment we arrived and it was home to the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. I would recommend the Sir Albert to anyone.

We passed 1 night in this hotel to celebrate a special occasion and everything was fabulous!
Once inside the hotel, you have this home-feeling as you immediately see the Study, a quiet place where to relax or drink something filled really thoughtfully with only design’s stuff.
The staff is super friendly, always smiling and ready to help you! …
During the check-in we were welcomed with a glass of Prosecco and informed about all amenities in the room, as well explained what we can visit in the surroundings.
We were up to a nice dinner so they really helped us giving some perfect restaurants reccomendations.
We asked if we could have a room on the top floor and the staff did everything possible to satisfy our request!
Once in the room we saw they surprised us by leaving a bottle of Prosecco and a nice message on behalf of Sir Albert…what a warm Welcome and special thought! The room was tidy and clean and the view from the small balcony was fantastic!
Special note: The bed was super comfortable, really hard to get up the morning after!
We absolutely enjoyed the breakfast! You have a wide choice from the buffet plus à la carte – we took the Eggs Benedict and they were super delicious!
The breakfast team gave us a really nice “good morning” time! The hotel is well located: in a walking distance you have the Museums Quarter and you can reach the city center very easily taking a tram to the nearby stop.

Good location. Extremely noisy if you have a ground or first floor room. The breakfast is outrageously priced. Skip it and eat across the street for less than half price.

Very nice hotel. Everyone there is always ready to help you. The hotel is near the main museums of Amsterdam. To get in the center, you will need 30 minutes walking.

Amazing customer service, very warm welcome on arrival with a glass of bubbly. The room was clean, spacious and had everything we could need, the one slight annoyance is that we were woken up both morning by cleaners, even though we had do not disturb on. Great location, far enough from the business of the center, public transport very easy to get to. Overall very nice, quirky hotel and would 100% stay again.

This hotel was excellent, super clean, stylish, and the concierge service was second to none. I didn't get the gentleman's name, but he helped recommend some amazing restaurants during our stay, helped us rent bikes, and even got us a Tesla taxi back to the airport (a special request, as they are my favorite car). They offer you complimentary prosecco once you check in (the guy who posted the review before me was obviously trying to take advantage of this kind gesture). We've already recommended this hotel to friends and can't wait to return!

This hotel seems friendly and provide convenience service but they all charge you money! Be aware of the hidden charges! I realize those charges when I ask them email me the invoice. (They give you the paper invoice without hidden charge when you check out, then you realize the bill is different with your bank statement) Hotel is tiny and price tags everywhere. The Japanese restaurant in the lobby is over price. A small cup of cocktail charges $15. The free drink they provide in the lobby can only drink ONCE, the hotel stuff says you only can drink when you check in. Their room door card doesn't work so it force you have to go to check in desk every day. The room service is rude. They just come inside without asking if they don't see you hang the notice on the door. Don't trust any words what the front desk stuff promise you, the stuff told me the breakfast is free but when I check out, the hotel charges me $21 breakfast fee per day. (I stay for five nights, even it's free but who want to eat the same breakfast everyday when you traveling) I explain it's because the front desk told me it's free so I stop by every morning for a cup of coffee, then the hotel manager says the front desk are all interns. Their words doesn't mean anything… I just have to pay for it. Borrow the plug charge= $25 (I got refund when I call them after two weeks)

They were lovely and welcoming it had beautiful rooms (unfortunately only showers though). Easy to get to with the free shuttle service from the airport. Thoroughly recommend.

The first welcome when straight entering the hotel premises, felt so warmly and genuine. I was pleasantly surprised to see the eye for detail worked out in pretty much each item in the room. Would definetly love to stay here again.

This was possibly one if the best hotels I've ever stayed in. The service was fantastic and the room was great. The bed was extremely comfortable and I cant say enough about the rainfall shower.

I visited here several times when my family was in town. The rooms are well stocked and they have done a very nice job of decorating the hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful.
