I don't give low ratings frivoluosly so feel somewhat reluctant to give such a poor rating. Why do it then? This hotel sits in a perfect location. Right on the edge of the centre so close but not so close it suffers from noise. So far so good. The staff are helpful and willing. If a little formal. That's sort of where it stops. The problem is that the hotel was probably great in the 70s but sort of stopped there and did not move on. The decor, the rules, even the breakfast. It's tired and in need of a revamp. It's understandable this is s family hotel so it's all investment but … It's a shame. This could be a spectacular place.
