Quiet location less then 10 mins walk from town square. Friendly, helpful, and courteous staff. Besides hotel restaurant, a variety of eating places galore within walking distance of hotel one for example.

Check-in and check-out very slow. Room recently renovated but bathroom had a bad smell. Rest of hotel run down. Second night, strong smell of cigarette smoke in room. Hotel staff did not apologise and just challenged me as though I was lying. Parking is expensive €15 and in a very narrow underground structure (cheaper across the the street).

How dirty does it have to be with the people at home who write here, it would be clean here?
This hotel does not deserve 4 stars. Mattress has blood stains, dust and dirt in all corners. The windows cannot be opened, despite smoking bans, smoking is done here and the smoke comes into the room through the leaky doors. Unlucky, airing is not possible.
The underground car park is not directly on site and costs €15000 per day. But this is definitely really clean.
Front desk staff won't greet you if you come the door in or walk out again, only when you address it. If you like to play pool alone, there is only one queue and until yesterday the one was broken. One of the two cups in the room is broken and a coffee capsule punctured.
The beds are relatively comfortable but there are great TVs with German program. Our bathroom was relatively new, there were still stains of paint from the swipe on the tiles. Water immediately becomes hot and is easy to regulate.
Like the food is there, we didn't want to test after taking a look inside the kitchen. (But doesn't have to be called anything)
It's loud, windows are leaking, the space between bed and wall too tight, and, and, and … ne you don't have to have that! Above all, what do the rooms without the designation "Deluxe" look like?
An appeal to the hotel owners: Makes more of this hotel, it can't be that hard, cleanliness is not magic!

Friendly and great service. Rooms are very clean. Only a few steps to downtown and shopping malls.

Nice staff, clean and close to the city centre. We had unfortunately booked the wrong day in the middle of the night, although the option was not included in the price, we were kindly rebooked. The hotel is conveniently located and within a few minutes you can reach the city centre.

Nice updated hotel with a great location in the centre of Maastricht. Right next to it there is a great cinema and other social gathering places. Rooms are clean and service is satisfactory.

My room was dirty! Bed not well made, fridge was filthy, cups were so dirty! dust all over, sink in the bathroom was disgusting, remote was sticky and obviously dirty (had to wear gloves to touch it), heater doesn’t work… very disappointed! Definitely not going back there and this is not a 4 star hotel!

The hotel is centrally located. Within walking distance you will be in the city. The hotel is clean and also nice, but far too expensive. Comparable to motel one from the facilities, but at the price of a Hyatt.

Rooms are nice. But the staff was not Professional! I was asking for post service she said to me better go by yourself to the post office?! The same girl was am blonde fat Girl working at the reception was talking about me in dutch how stupid you can be to talk about somebody if he is in the same room only because I prefer to speak english it does not means that I dont understand dutch aswell. The breakfast was good its a nice Buffet. Be aware also the gril tried aswell to ask me to pay for breakfast again as I checked out but I paid already as I checked in. The cleaning staff was nice and friendly aswell only that big blond gril from the reception was a no go! I listened also how she was calling with other clients dont know if she had an bad day or if she is so unfriendly. That Girl really ruined my experience in the bastion hotel!

Awful place:/ we found a used underware between the matresses. The "deluxe" room was awefully small and the matresses were uncomfortable and were seperating during the night. No signs of luxury there! Generally distasteful Parking and breakfast are expensive I wonder who gave the 4 stars.

… we had a lovely room, light could use a renovation, in the bathroom, the lamp was broken, therefore, only spooky. Otherwise it was ok, and the proximity to town was great!

From the train occupied station 15 minutes walk. You can take the public bar, there are a lot of routes are through, near the center of the square, diet has a a variety of selection.

The hotel is comfortable, and the staff nice. I've had a few problems with my key card reader on the door not working, but I still had access, after a few tries. The room has two twin beds placed next to each other, and a small (quite small) desk in one corner. The shower is roomy enough for the job, though the hot water seems a bit schizophrenic about maintaining one temperature.

Wi-Fi perfect. Standard rooms are in the works currently.

Small room without special service, bathroom correct but also without special asset (no magnifying mirror, 1 shower gel, towels worn up to the weft, toilet paper of the very first price; all this for a really too much price Excessive (214 euros per night)! I was very sincerely expecting other benefits.

Forgotten things can't be easy. Costs for pick-up by a provider 92 Euro for a normal package, instead of the guest directly. So absolutely no Service and overall unkempt.

Quite nice and modern Hotel with good Service and Aircondition… but they need to do something with the beds… they move around because they are not fixed to the floor… really annoying with double bed.

Clean but old rooms, old equipment. Door handles with non-functional card readers. Missing bar. Hallways are very hot — no A/C. Service is quite good.

Hotel, and breakfast are very good. But I couldn't believe me that in a hotel, they close doors at night! One day I arrived a little late and automatic doors were not opened! And it turns out that I had to call a ring that nobody did not respond. After a while, a man who went there by passing a huge vacuum cleaner (reason for which is likely to not listen the doorbell), saw me and asked me to teach my room card and opened to me. But come on, a little weird all. Moreover, Maastricht I really liked. :).
