Hotel Restaurant Oortjeshekken Hotel

Wij waren daar voor de lunch met zijn vieren. Het was druk en de bediening duurde te lang. Daarnaast kregen wij pindakaas voor op de croissant in plaats van jam. Bij navraag bleek deze op. Zeer slechte zaak.

We where there just for the restaurant. The food was nice, but the menu was a little bit to small.

We stayed here for our anniversary and we really enjoyed it. When we arrived, the staff were extremely welcoming and showed us to our room. The room was adorable and very clean. The bed was very comfortable and the floor was heated. It's a bit of an older room so there weren't many outlets, and no TV, but if you're looking for a get away in the beautiful countryside, the TV won't be missed. The bathroom is minimal but was clean and had all we needed. I even forgot a hair dryer but we able to borrow one from the front desk. The breakfast was delicious and we were able to take a walk around the water right across the street, saw plenty of wildlife. All in all we really enjoyed our stay, although at least a two night stay would make it easier to take full advantage of everything offered.

The Earl Grey tea was move like Lady Grey tea (weak and insipid) but the staff good.

Good food, cosy building and nice service. Worth to visit.

Oortjes hekken is at the center of a beautiful place for nature walking and and on top of that a great place to eat and drink. Service is relaxed and friendly. Great experience!

Lunch was good, but not amazing. Great juices.

Fantastically located in beautiful natural environment. The terrace is marvellous when the sun is shining, though a pity that smoking is still allowed outside.

This is a typical Sunday destinations for people in Nijmegen, in a wonderful nature area. I stayed here for one night. Staff was friendly, breakfast was huge like for a triathlon training. Bathroom was outdated with dim lights, my room had an 'old' smell. Easy to reach by bike, the view on the road is nice. For the price I would have expected more.

I do love the breakfast, it's quite lovely. However it's quite over priced and they waste A LOT OF FOOD!. Also the one cheap thing: tea and coffee used to be "unlimited" and they changed it to "per cup" for almost 3 euros per tiny cup.

Liked it, it was just really warm inside and it was self service (which is nice, but not what we wanted at that time)

It's a 3-star hotel, so it gets 3-stars, because there is nothing fancy to see or get here. To hotel is decent and clean enough to sleep in. Oddly enough the toilet bowl in my room was super high, and I'm already a tall person. Rooms could also be a bit more quiet as you can hear everything from next door.

Beautiful location and interior. Food was good and the plate was nicely decorated. Staff were a bit rushy at times, but overall an excellent restaurant.

Supermooie locatie, teras zowel in schaduw als zon, vriendelijke bediening, lekker gegeten.

I love this place, is nice go there to drink a nice coffee and enjoying the environment.
