What a wonderful B and B, it is a beautiful villa.
We had a lovely room with a super bathroom.
The hostess took great care of us and her young help cooked delicious eggs😁
We enjoyed it again and again.

We had a really great week in the villa and the surrounding area. The welcome was very warm and on the first day we sat at breakfast for a long time and had a great conversation with one of the owners! We were on the same wavelength!
The villa is a very beautiful old manor house and gives you the feeling of being in another time — really great and very well maintained! It wasn't the last time we were there. Next time we would probably take one of the rooms. The loft was great, but we wouldn't have needed the space for two. Due to our late booking there was nothing else available and so we enjoyed that too. By the way, the great bay window is a great place to relax with coffee and a good book. :-)

Very nice place, really enjoyed the overnight stay. Breakfast was well prepared and the bed was very comfortable, the room is tastefully decorated with beautiful old details!

What a beautiful, historic building! It immediately feels good when you walk in and I am always impressed. We had slept here twice before and then we had rooms 2 and 3 (us and the children), this time room 1, the one with the bathroom with large bath. Ideal for a romantic weekend without children. The rooms are all attractive, comfortable beds. This time we were allowed to have breakfast downstairs again and we sat on the terrace and enjoyed the space and nature. Combined with a boat trip (available for rent at a 10-minute drive) to beautiful Hindelopen, walks in the forest and eating fish by the water. The owner and the people who run the b&b are nice people, very hospitable. We can highly recommend De Villa and we will definitely come back.

Booked DeVilla Rijs for 1 night. No one will be present upon arrival and you can sort things out yourself by sending a message via the booking site. We entered the room and could only open the door halfway, due to a rug that got stuck between the door and the carpet. A rug over carpet usually doesn't bode well and indeed, the carpet was quite dirty, luckily we had slippers with us.
The room was spacious but absolutely without atmosphere and certainly not clean, dust everywhere, no clean coffee facilities, a refrigerator that was filled but not turned on, waste bins in the bathroom with the dirt from the previous tenant still in it.
When the bath was emptied, the drain turned out to be leaking and the bathroom was flooded. Out of necessity, I mopped up everything with the towels, the white towels were immediately black, because the floor in the bathroom was apparently not clean either. The owner could only be reached via the Booking site and tried to repair the drain with a piece of tape.
The shower drain was apparently also clogged because after 2 minutes of showering, the shower corner was also flooded.
Because we had to be somewhere for business early in the morning, we asked if breakfast could be served half an hour earlier. They would do their best, but unfortunately instead of half an hour earlier it came later.

Nice staff, very nice large rooms, once something else.

The stay at hotel “Devilla” had been a very pleasant stay! The hostess welcomed us at the for us appropriate time, and was even so kind to reserve a restaurant for us! The accomodation is a very Nice estate where from you can go for a hike in one of the most beautifull parts of Friesland. We would recommend everyone to plan a visit and Enjoy all the beautifull aspects of “Devilla” we sure enjoyed it!
