With my best friend, I stayed with Anne and Jan in Ferwert last week (you can see me waving from the terrace) and it was lovely. Highly recommended — plenty to do in the area. Walking, a trip to the sea or, as we did, to the Planetarium in Franeker. The ice cream parlour opposite the Planetarium comes highly recommended.
