De Deelderij

The staff and owners, Marco and Marlos, are described as incredibly hospitable, friendly, and helpful people. Guests note their commitment, sincere care, and professional approach. Visitors feel welcome from the very first moment, comparing the reception to visiting close friends or family. The staff demonstrates flexibility, for example, allowing guests to pitch their tents before the official check-in time.

The campsite operates a cozy small shop where you can order sandwiches and breakfast fillings, which is particularly convenient for hikers. The shop's assortment also includes local regional products. Some guests mentioned receiving pleasant bonuses, such as breakfast baskets or fresh eggs and zucchini upon arrival. There is also a coffee machine in the shop, and guests praise the delicious coffee.

For guests with tents, there is a canopy area where an electric kettle and a hot plate are available free of charge. Some guests specifically noted the availability of a kettle in their accommodation areas at no extra cost. There is also a "pick-your-own garden" on the territory, where you can pick fresh mint for tea.

Guests note that the campsite provides good and stable Wi-Fi.

The sanitary facilities have received many positive reviews: they are very modern (updated in 2023), spacious, clean, and heated. Guests describe them as "spotlessly clean" and equipped with all necessary amenities. The general territory of the campsite is also well-maintained, neatly decorated with vintage tools, and kept clean.

The campsite is excellent for tourists, especially those walking the Pieterpad trail. There are spacious spots for tents with a proper balance of sun and shade, as well as special Bell tents with comfortable beds. Convenient areas with canopies, tables, and covered clotheslines are provided for hikers. As a compliment, one guest was even offered a wool blanket for their night in the tent.

Some guests noted minor issues with the showerheads: in one instance, the water pressure was too strong ("wild"). Another visitor mentioned that the temperature adjustment button in the shower takes time to warm up, meaning one might be under the stream of water before it becomes hot.

The campsite exudes an atmosphere of tranquility, coziness, and relaxation. The place is oriented towards lovers of nature, sustainable development, and ecology. There are elements on the territory that create a special atmosphere: a pick-your-own garden, rabbits in cages, and a pasture with young foals next to the campsite.
