De Stobbe hotel & suites

I am writing because I am deeply disappointed with the experience I had last month at the Hotel De Stobbe. A hotel that shows off a sauna, pool, suites, and more, but none of that matters if the basics are missing.
My hairdryer wasn't functioning properly, blowing only cold air. After spending an hour trying to dry my hair, losing both time and patience, I attempted to call the reception from my room, as it was raining outside and the reception was in another building. No answers. So, I got dressed and went to the reception in person. The lady at the reception treated me like an idiot, explaining how the hairdryer worked, assuming I didn’t know how to use it. I insisted that the hairdryer was broken and requested another one, but my request was denied as I was told there were no additional hairdryers in the hotel. Instead, I was asked to knock on other guests' doors to use their hairdryers. Unbelievable.
I insisted that it be fixed the next days. They entered my room, but the situation remained unchanged, forcing me to go to bed with wet hair.
(Additionally, my suite was very dark, making it difficult to do simple tasks like packing and unpacking).
I am extremely disappointed with my experience. I felt mocked and undervalued as a guest.

Spacious room. Clean. The bed decoration is outdated. I really dislike the carpet; it’s not hygienic since people walk in with their shoes. The breakfast was excellent. The staff.

Fine hotel, nothing more — nothing less. The hotel is located in a beautiful area in the Netherlands where it is possible to make nice walk or bike tours.
The rooms are a bit old and small, especially the shower cabin is made for small persons but also the toilet is not that big. The beds were comfortable and clean. I never like when the covering is made of cloth, it feels a bit unhygienic.
The bar downstairs is very cosy. You can drink several kinds of different beers there.
The restaurant is fine and the staff is very friendly. Unfortunately they don't offer many vegan or vegetarian options on the menu.

Attractive hotel with a nice swimming pool. Delicious food in the restaurant. The spells café is super cozy and the staff is very friendly. You really feel welcome here.

We paid way too much for what we received at this hotel. Our room was very noisy as the elevator made a huge noise and they only had single beds, so it was awkward sleeping at night. Breakfast was okay. Definitely wouldn't come back here again and would rather opt for one of the many B&Bs in town.

Great hotel, with a fantastic bar and fantastic food. Highly recommended.

Have stayed here now four times over the past few months, the rooms are very clean with everything you would want or expect from a good hotel, but the highlight of the stay is the bar, extremely well designed and decorated with a very relaxed atmosphere. Great selection of drinks, but the food is fantastic and I would highly recommend the BBQ Chicken, but every dish I have tried is of the highest quality, fresh and well prepared ingredients never disappointing. The whole staff are very friendly and accommodating. If you are in the area give it a go, you will not be disappointed.
