We had an amazing stay at Hotel Sanctuary Chitwan. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful nature, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The service was exceptional, and the staff made us feel truly special and welcome throughout our stay.
The food was delicious, and every meal was a pleasure. This is one of the best hotels we have ever visited.
All the activities were unique and memorable, especially the jeep safari, sunset experience, and wildlife spotting. Every excursion felt like an adventure and helped make our dreams come true.
A special thank you to Ajib, the hotel manager, and to Tulsi. You are both wonderful people. We loved talking with you and were delighted to be your guests.
In addition, all the staff were incredibly kind, friendly, and professional. Thank you for making our stay so memorable. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Chitwan.

Wonderful Place to visit if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle and want to be one with nature. Excellent staff, great hospitality, great food. The kids loved it enjoyed the swimming. A lot of activities to do the sundowner was superb, More quiet and subtle compared to Sauraha, My only advice would be to please keep this place as is and away from the influencer crowd.

We stayed for 4 nights in Sanctuary Chitwan and it was truly amazing. After a long hike in the Himalayas this was a paradise where we could enjoy the sun, pool and just relax. The atmosphere was calm and the accommodation truly beautiful and clean. The people are very friendly and the service is excellent. We did a full day Jeep Safari and saw a lot of wildlife. Would definitely recommend this place!

Our stay at Sanctuary Chitwan National Park was genuinely memorable.
What stood out the most was the service and hospitality. The entire team was incredibly warm, respectful, and attentive, and you can clearly feel that this place is being managed with real care and intention. The atmosphere of the hotel is calm, peaceful, and deeply soothing — the kind of place where you can truly relax and enjoy the surroundings.
A special mention to Ajit Sir, whose leadership really shows in the overall experience. It’s rare to see how much of a difference one good manager can make — not just in operations, but in how well-trained, thoughtful, and hospitable the whole team feels. That level of care reflects everywhere.
One moment that meant a lot to us was when we lost an earring in the hotel. The team searched thoroughly across the floor and helped us find it and return it. That kind of honesty, effort, and willingness to help says a lot about the people here.

We had a fantastic stay at Sanctuary Chitwan. After a long and rather chaotic journey, arriving here felt like stepping into a calm, carefully designed retreat. The architecture is beautiful, with natural materials, pebble walls, bamboo ceilings, and open walkways that create a peaceful atmosphere. It feels authentic and thoughtfully curated rather than generic.
The on-site restaurant was excellent. Every meal was well prepared and genuinely enjoyable, which is not always a given when travelling. What impressed me most was how accommodating the team were with dietary requirements. I follow a strict keto diet due to type 2 diabetes, and they provided packed safari lunches of chicken satay and eggs without hesitation. That level of care made a huge difference and removed any stress about food while we were out exploring.
The fact that the hotel runs its own safari experience is another big plus. The organisation was smooth, the guides were knowledgeable, and everything felt well coordinated. It was relaxed, personal, and never rushed.
If you are visiting Chitwan and want somewhere that combines comfort, good food, thoughtful service, and a well run safari experience, this is an excellent choice. Highly recommended.

My wife and I recently stayed at Sanctuary Chitwan National Park, and I can say this with full conviction — this wasn’t just a stay, it was an experience that will stay with us for a very long time.
We had done extensive research before choosing a place in Chitwan, and when I say Sanctuary is the best, I truly mean it. From the moment we arrived, everything felt effortless — the planning, the hospitality, the food, the warmth. Nothing felt forced or “hotel-like”.
The property itself is incredibly elegant. The architecture is classy, understated, and blends beautifully with nature. Every corner feels thoughtfully designed. But what truly sets Sanctuary apart is its people. The staff, the guides, the team behind the scenes — everyone treated us not like guests at a resort, but like guests at their home.
There was a genuine sense of care in everything — from how meals were served, to how our days were planned, to the little conversations that made us feel so welcome. It felt personal. Familiar. Warm.
We came to Chitwan expecting wildlife and nature, but we’re leaving with memories of kindness, comfort, and a place that truly felt like home. Sanctuary isn’t just a place you stay at — it’s a place you feel.

A truly peaceful stay right on the edge of the jungle, with exceptionally stylish and beautifully designed rooms. I was lucky enough to be upgraded to a stunning suite overlooking the forest — waking up to that view from my bed felt surreal.
The staff were nothing short of exceptional. Ajit the manager, safari guides Tulsi and Ashok, and the restaurant team all went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable and memorable.
The safari experience was magical. I saw 15 rhinos, including three mothers with calves. I followed Tulsi’s recommendation to visit the community forest instead of the main park and I’m so glad I did, as other groups returned disappointed.
Tulsi, Ashok, and our driver John were determined to help me spot a tiger, visiting multiple locations and waiting patiently. While we didn’t get lucky this time, seeing so many rhinos more than made up for it.

Adult son (age 48) accompanied me on this wonderful trip to Nepal. This spacious, comfortable, and quiet resort with pool and included meals was the perfect base for exploring Chitwan National Park, with the Jeep safari part of the package. Our guide and driver were exceptional, and so were the huge rhinos we saw! Staff was so kind and accommodating. (The bathroom is massive, but I would prefer an opaque door on it:-) We highly recommend this place and experience in Nepal!

We had a fantastic 2 night stay at the Sanctuary. The Lodge is beautiful and tastefully designed. Our room was very large with a huge bathroom equipped with everything you could possibly need. The food was excellent and all the staff were amazing. It was my partners birthday while we were there and they made it a very special day. I can't remember all the names of the staff but a special mention to Tulsi for his passion, knowledge and humour and Selema for looking after us in the bar and restaurant and having a great sense of humour.

Just spent 3 nights at Sanctuary Chitwan and we had an incredible time. The staff were all so kind and helpful. They really took the time to make our stay special and we enjoyed the sundown aperitif on the river as well as a the cultural dancing that we got to join in with.
All the food was lovely — they have a really good chef with lots of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We especially enjoyed the Indian Thali and the Roast chicken.
The grounds are really beautiful to look at and rooms spacious and modern.
Initially we thought it would be a problem to be far away from the main town but actually it turned out to be much better for us to stay in such a quant local village. They had e-bikes for us to use and explore the area.
The best part of our 3 day trip was the half day safari — we took a small boat from the hotel doorstep to cross the river and then on Jeeps through the jungle — we saw rhinos, crocodiles, wild boar, deer, elephants and monkeys. Big thank you to all the staff for making our stay extra special!
Highly recommend to stay here if you are considering coming to Chitwan.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Sanctuary. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Ajit and his highly professional team. We were very impressed with our villa. We were also highly impressed by the professional, friendly and attentive staff members. The food was excellent, as was the service in the dining room. The location is beautiful, peaceful and serene. The adjacent Tharu village is also beautiful, peaceful and quiet. Tulsi, the Activities Manager, is highly knowledgeable and he helped us select the appropriate safari, and he also led us on a lovely tour of the village. Our guide, Roshan is highly knowledgable and did a fantastic job of finding animals on our safari. Overall, we found that every detail of our stay was thoughtfully attended to at this beautiful place, and we hope to return one day soon. Thank you to Ajit, Tulsi, Roshan and all the staff.

One of the best places we stayed all over Nepal. Incredible staff, very special architecture (look it up) and stunning surroundings. Very close, in the backyard, the national park. Before getting lost in extensive descriptions, just go there, pay the price (yes its not cheap but you get a lot and more) and see the animals! Its definitely worth the detour.

We stayed 3 nights with a birdwatching tour. Our guide was so amazing and knowledgeable, we learnt a lot. We did many other programs as well, everything was well arranged. The accommodation felt luxurious and the food was also exceptional. I can only recommend.

The food was exceptional every single day — delicious, varied, and beautifully presented. We especially loved the mix of local flavors and international options.
The activities were another highlight of our stay. Everything was so well organized, fun, and engaging. Whether we were relaxing or exploring, we always felt taken care of.

A calm oasis of sophistication. The premises are modern, well appointed, clean and well maintained. These high standards are met in all areas with great service and wonderful food. The pool was pristine and the premises abutted Chitwan for bird watching although the jeep safaris took 15 minutes to reach the formal entrance. The hotel manager was particularly accommodating with a personal bird watching trip.
We originally booked another establishment but when we turned up the facilities were poor. Therefore we made a quick switch to the Sanctuary. Definitely the best decision!
We had two safari trips. On the second we saw abundant rhinos but the tigers were proving to be elusive, as were the elephants.

We spent 2 nights as a family at The Sanctuary in October 25. What a wonderfully calm and peaceful place. The rooms were so comfortable and we loved the infinity pool. The food was delicious and the staff couldn’t have done more to make our stay more enjoyable. We were unfortunate to have wet weather for our stay in Chitwan, however, Tulsi (our wildlife reserve ranger) still took us on our jeep safari and boat safari with great enthusiasm and a huge smile of his face. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the flora and fauna on the reserve and was warm and friendly. He managed to find us some rhinos and we also saw deer, monkeys, a wild boar, crocodiles and multiple birds. Sadly the Bengal tiger didn’t like the rain and remained elusive!
We loved our stay here and would highly recommend a visit.

Had the most wonderful experience here. Ajit and his team do everything to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Fantastic spacious rooms, great food and the safaris and sundowner were amazing. Just know the Sanctuary is quite isolated, I personally loved the peace but keep it in mind when you book. You will not regret staying and recharging here!
