I stayed for about a month at the globetrotting hotel, susanna and bharat are great, I was welcomed as in a family, besides everything I found a lot of professionalism as well as sympathy, they also arranged the trek to Everest base camp and it was Great! The setting is clean and very comfortable and the breakfasts great, I recommend to all the globetrotting hotel! I hope to return as soon as possible.

A hotel for travelers, run by travelers! This would be enough to choose this structure; if you then put that is an oase of silence in the rowdy Katmandu, that the rooms are basic and clean, that breakfast is great and that it is a pleasure to stay and chat with Susanna… then book!

Lovely hotel in Thamel area! There is the better hygiene and cleaning that I have found in Nepal! Huge and good breakfast. Free Wi-Fi. Very helpful staff: they helped me to decide places to visit, very good places where buy gifts, and also to solve personal matters. And they keep your luggage while you go on trekking or somewhere. Thank you! =)

Susi and Bharat own this cool friendly hotel in KTM. Lots of colourful flags, paintings and plants give this place a joyful atmosphere. Clean as Italian standard. It's easy to reach the main city highlights but it's located in a quiet area. They know the city and surroundings very well, also helpful with trekking organization.

I've been in the hotel Giramondo with my boyfriend. Since we are Italian and we had read some awesome reviews we decided to book for three nights. At the end, we stayed there for eight. Staying at the Giramondo is like staying in your own home. Susan and Barhat, the owners, are wonderful people and very kind. They have often helped us explaining how to move from one place to the other with public transport, organizing a marvelous experience in the Chitwan, giving us suggestions for our trekking, and resolving several problems we had during our trip. The hotel is very nice and very clean. It is really close to the center (about 3 minutes away from Thamel) and to public transport, nonetheless it is quite quiet with respect to Kathmandu's chaos. It is possible to relax under the porch while drinking a hot tea or while eating a good Italian dish. In the end, if you decide to visit the wonderful city of Kathmandu, I warmly reccomend you stay at the hotel Giramondo, it will make your experience even more unforgettable.

This small hotel in the centre of Kathmandu is very welcoming and comfortable. But I don't think that's the strong point. The uniqueness lies in the owners who make you feel at home. I felt like a good friend or maybe in a few days I became a good friend. Every wish or problem we've solved together. I would never have found in a big hotel so much humanity, availability and sweetness. Thank you Susan and Bharat, you are great and I wish you success in work and in life!

Had a very nice time here. The rooms are clean and Wi-Fi is pretty fast. Location is a bit tricky at first, you have to find the alleyway from the main street and follow it all the way down until you see the "Giramondo" sign written in yellow. Also the owner is very welcoming and helpful! I had to take a Taxi to the Swayambhunath Stupa and he came with me to negotiate a good fare with driver. Also the last day I was there I ran out of cash for a cab to the airport and he gave me a few rupees for the fare! Very happy I decided to stay here, especially because you can't beat the price. Would recommend.

Could not be happier about my stay here, really good location, about 2 minutes from thamel. Nice and tidy rooms and an excellent breakfast perfect to get yourself ready to explore the amazing Kathmandu.
Really felt welcome, cared for and in a great company at all times.
Will definitely recommend to friends and family.
There is not a better place to relax after a long trek!

This place makes you feel like home! The owners are super welcoming and helpful, from giving directions for public transportation to good cheap eats they wer always happy to answer and chat. The room is very clean with comfortable beds. It’s so cosy and tucked away just north from the madness of Thamel. A delicious breakfast is included each morning. I am very happy with my stay here and would definitely come back again.

This place was fantastic! The owners were so welcoming, fun and helpful. The wife was Italian and husband Nepali. So they offer both traditional Italian & Nepali food in the restaurant. I had chicken curry & dhal bhat and it was delicious! The rooms were super clean and the beds comfortable. The hotel is within short walking distance of the central Thamel district, but far enough out to be away from the noise of the tourist hub. I was treated like family and will certainly be staying here if I ever return to Kathmandu and would highly recommend.
