My friends and I had a great experience at Tarentaal. Our hosts were very welcoming. They cooked dinner for us and we ate all together and got to know eachother. I am looking forward to visiting in the future.
I cannot in good conscience recommend this place.
There is a very vicious dog here. It's all well and good for the owner to state the dog is only allowed at night to patrol the place.
BUT, accidents DO happen, and there will be times the dog gets out. As our experience proves.
The dog got out in the morning and honestly it was the best case scenario. A young healthy man was bitten, thankfully just on his leg. But if it was as a child, then I don't even want to imagine the blood bath.
Also, the owner had to call the dog a few times, before it responded.
In short… Viscous dog with history of biting, and recall very poor.
