The room and the location are absolutely magnificent. The room is very clean and you sleep very well. The pool and bar overlook an open watering hole where you can clearly see the animals.
However, there is an excursion with dinner in the evening, the "Milkyway Dinner, " which costs 1100 Namibian dollars and is a bit expensive for what it is (a glass of champagne upon arrival, but it's a shame there wasn't a glass of wine with the meal considering the price). But the spot is very pretty.
Mountain Peak Game Lodge benefits from an excellent location paired with truly impressive views. The chalets are well positioned, attractively furnished, and offer a comfortable stay in a beautiful natural setting.
Service quality, however, is inconsistent. While the staff are generally friendly, some appear insufficiently trained and at times inattentive. Guests often need to actively request basic information or services. Inquiries about available activities reveal that they tend to be overpriced, and guests are limited to only two complimentary drinks. Important policies—such as the requirement to cancel activities at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a 100% cancellation fee—are not proactively communicated.
Guest reception is another area needing improvement. There is no porter service, guests receive little guidance upon arrival, and there is no welcome at the lower parking area. Instead, visitors must walk up the hill to the reception without clear instructions. There is also no indication that guests are allowed to drive up to load or unload luggage. The reception and welcome committee generally come across as unprofessional.
During our stay, the room safe could neither be opened nor locked. Although the issue was reported and we were assured that management would address it, no action followed. The owner—who places noticeable emphasis on the title—typically does not greet guests; in our case, she met us only after we requested her presence to clarify several issues.

Amazing breakfast and friendly staff. Hidden jem of a lodge/campsite. Everything is so well kept and modern. Nice selection of drinks at the bar. We even got Wi-Fi close to the camp, a separate swimming pool, and constant warm water at the campsite. Overall a great, quiet and very safe place to stay.
