Etotongwe Lodge

You can choose different rooms with TVs etc. Ours had a toilet which kept refilling during the night. The dinner buffet was delicious especially the pizzas. Breakfast was just as wonderful. Service fantastic.

Etotongwe lodge is a lovely venue, but service was somewhat disappointing. From the very beginning when we made our booking, communication on payments could have been better.
The rooms are basic, but clean, and there isn't Wi-Fi in the rooms. Our breakfast was disappointing. We arrived an hour after opening and hot water for tea was cold, the entire hot breakfast had been demolished already and staff looked at us funny when we asked for the hot breakfast selection — they reluctantly brought some out eventually. We felt like an inconvenience. I had also asked if it would be possible to borrow an iron beforehand and was reassured that it would be with pleasure — but that wasn't communicated through the channels properly and I had to go on a hunt for the laundry, where I did find an iron but very clearly inconvenienced the ladies (I used the iron for 5 minutes).
The lodge shows great potential overall and is a popular destination but service needs attention.

Great, pleasant, game drive also good.
Food was good also.
Cabins nice and simple, bedding good.

A lovely Lodge set in a great location. On the main route. It is easily accessible and visible.
The rooms are adequate and very spacious. Inter-leading doors can connect two chalets. Great for families. It is not so good if the two chalets have different guests. One can hear the next door guest chatting. 😕 A bar refrigerator is also lacking.
The restaurant, bar, and lounge areas are great. A beautiful swimming for the hot days is a welcomed relief.
Wi-fi is needed at the chalets. Presently only at reception, restaurant, bar and swimming pool area.
The food was absolutely delicious. Cosy, warm atmosphere in the restaurant. The log fire was very welcoming.
A must stop and stay-over when in Oujo, Namibia.

We had a wonderful stay at the Lodge. The service was good and the food was nice. I loved the decore in the restaurant.

We stayed here for two nights as part of an organized tour. This was a more basic accommodation than the others we stayed at but we had everything we needed. Free Internet access is available in the main building. There's a pool and a bar. Food was pretty good. About 1h to Etosha National Park.

The Lodge is very clean and comfortable. Atmosphere is really amazing. T Bone steak, chips and vegetables, was out of this world. It is a very good stop before you go to the Etosha. I will definitely come back again. Excellent work to the workers and management.

We booked 4 rooms last weekend. The A/C of two rooms did not work at all. The toilet seat was broken/loose and the curtains torn.
Complained about this at reception and have not been contacted by any manager or owner to resolve the issues or to offer us other rooms or to refund us for money paid for rooms not suitable to stay in.
As the owner of two car rental companies in Namibia I can assure you that I will not make any bookings for any of our overseas clients to stay here, nor will I suggest any client to stay here. Absolutely pathetic, to say the least.
