Omaruru Game Lodge

Omaruru Lodge was a great experience, the room was rustic and beautiful. We could have a view of the water hole from our window. The breakfast is ok, however dinner is really good and tasty. Staff is friendly and polite. The game drive was wonderful, we could see elephants, oryx, giraffes, snakes, rhinos, hipos, zebras. The game reserve is huge and seems more wild animals than a game we did in South Africa.

From the start to the end. We didn’t want to leave. The grounds were incredible. The people were so friendly and kind. The rooms were so clean and beautifully made. Clarence our game driver was so amazing. He searched and searched for elephants and he was so knowledgeable. Would ask for him every time. The staff at the restaurant were so friendly treating you like family. Take me back!

We stayed at Omaruru this week, and it was an incredible experience. My daughter got to feed a Giraffe. And we also got uplcose to many other animals. Staff was super friendly. I definitely recommend if you would like to get up close to animals and experience Africa 1st hand.

It is a nice place to visit during your visit to Namibia.
Rooms are neat and clean.
Staff is very friendly and the service is good.
Food is tasty.
And the best part is the animals.
You get to see all the animals from so close.
Overall it's a nice experience.

We loved our time at the lodge, although the rooms could do with an upgrade. The meals were good too and the staff very helpful. The pool had not been cleaned and was not very inviting. Feeding the animals gives it a bit of a zoo feeling, but it was great to see them all up close. Especially for people who have travelled from far and don't have time to visit the Game Reserves. The only thing that I found truly upsetting, is the sight of the cheetah being fed in that small enclosure. That is cruel, to my mind. There is no way he can even attempt to hunt for himself. The cheetah is the fastest land animal in the world and this creature is caged up. I am a Namibian and love seeing cheetah in Etosha in the wild. You don't always get to see them there of course, but that is part of game viewing in a natural environmment. Regards, Sylvia.

What a delight! Nice room, above average dinner, and fantastic animal interactions. We liked it so much that we tried to come back on our way to Windhoek but they were full, bummer!
This would be an especially great place for kids 5-18; really fun to get close to the animals at feeding time.

We love this place and visit it every time when we are in Namibia. Animals are close to see, rooms are clean and cosy and service (reception!, restaurant) is perfect. Of course it is a little bit expensive now, but we still love it there.

Very good for game viewing as meals are served at the waterhole where the animals are fed. As it was very dry the animals all come to the water holes and must be fed to survive. The accommodation is pleasant ant the service and meals are very good.

Perfect to visit with kids, they get to see and touch most of the animals, including rhinos. The game drive is also very good, we got to see and touch the elephants.
The food and rooms are just ok. All dishes are cooked with tons of pepper. Overall a fantastic experience for the family.

Rooms are really poor quality they need a serious upgrade. They are not worth the price. The beds are uncomfortable 😣 it’s a lodge suitable for day visit. Animal view is amazing and so is the game drive.
