Divundu Guest House

In the series of budget options in Caprivi, this is a conveniently located (on the river near the bridge) low-cost option in Divundu. People were nice, the restaurant good and the surroundings fine, but the internet was not working. Good enough for a one-night stopover.

I love their Pizzas and the atmosphere at the restaurant is very chill. The outside area is clean and their service is acceptable.

Decent place for overnight accomodation especial if you get the River side rooms. Amazing sunrise view🌅

Although I booked for two nights I did not even stay there — I handed my keysin at reception after ive been to the room and left. This place is NOT up to standard — how can they even claim 3 star staying. The booking companies should make sure that places listed with then are what they claim they are. The photos of this place is NOT reflecting the current status. I'm sorry but I can't give more than 1 star.

Located right under the bridge across Okavango River. The guest house offers budget accomodation which may not suite those with a taste for finer things. There is a backpackers package with communal toilets as part of their offering. A positive is their proximity to the bridge.

Divundu Guest house will forever have a place in my heart. Friendly staff, decent rooms and a great breakfast. The best tip is to ask for a game drive with the owner, for a small price you will get a lunch and great tour through Bwabwata National Park. I really hope to go back here someday, thanks for everything.

I dont know, why this guys call this rooms Backpacker Rooms, because even for Backpacker Standarts this romms are in a poor conditions.
The rooms are tiny, the missy net is just for people up to 160 cm and the rooms are getting really hot.
You will have a free sauna, even If you leave the window open.
The area in front of is full of cars, so its like you sleep on a parking space, with alltime clapping doors and starting engines.
The common toilet has very old standarts but is functional.
This place is like a workers Barracks then for Backpacker.
There is no community space at all, just a restaurant, which takes long to prepaire the oily food.
In the morning the TV is blasting war news.
The Internet by the barracks are more on and iff, because there is no modem close by!

The guest house is very nice, big gardens that lead down to the river. The backpacker room was more than enough for the rate. I did a game drive with the owner Peter who was very friendly and we saw a lot of animals! The restaurant offers many different meals and are really good. The breakfast was also great.

We booked 3 nights to explore the area. Divundu itself offers nothing to do in the area, except an excellent boat cruise, which we booked with Popa Falls Resort. The guest house offers camping, bungalows and river rooms, I recommend the river rooms, even when you stay only one night as a stop over. The guest house served its purpose as a stop over, but the area doesn't offer much to do, so 3 nights was too long here. English breakfast was good, room was comfortable and staff was friendly.

Room was fairly okay for the price and lucky enough to be near washrooms.
The washrooms though had uncollected rubbish and urinals were in a bad state. Bathrooms were fine though.
Beautiful setting in a leafy compound by the Kavango River, though there isn't really a place to chill by the river unless you are in the few rooms next to the river.
Awesome restaurant with exceptional breakfast.
