Zannier Omaanda

I had high expectations for this lodge, but unfortunately, they do not meet the standards they advertise being a 5 Star Lodge.
The food served and the manner in which it is displayed is rather budget friendly and definitely does not have a touch of a gourmet dish. Their vision “Simplicity” does not mean that you have to have sub-standard food. At these prices one does not expect to be served the cheapest ham, salami, cheese you find in town and on top of that stale bread.
Apart from the overprized activities and browsing through overprized souvenirs there is not much to do apart from relaxing at the pool.
The lodge is ok – no wow effect. Simplicity could also have a classy and elegant effect, be luxurious.
The rooms are beautiful but unfortunately with drains that are blocked. For a lodge of that rating even the coffee pods for the Nespresso machine are below standard.
The staff, however, is super friendly, great and efficient. Well done to them.

Omaanda will always be the most special place, we got married here in 2023. Namibia is our favourite country, we wanted to bring our family and best friends to see it.
We chose Omaanda without visiting, and were confident everything would meet our expectations. The team welcomed us and delivered exactly what we wanted and more. It was a perfect few days that remains a special bond with our guests and Omaanda.
Looking forward to coming back again in the next couple of years. We'll always make it our first stop.

I have had the great pleasure of experiencing Omaanda on numerous occasions as a Tour Director escorting groups in Namibia. The accommodation, food and staff are outstanding! It's always a favourite of my guests and I always look forward to going back.

Zannier Omaanda is an absolute 5 star experience. Beautiful lodge and even more beautiful staff. They go far and beyond your expectations. I want to especially thank Fila, she's the most amazing waitress I've ever had and she'll make sure your stay and your meal experience is perfect. We had a fabulous 3-night stay at Omaanda, with not a single flaw.
The rooms are stunning, offering a magnificent view of the bush, and the service even includes preparing fireplaces and hot water bottles when temperatures drop. The food, excellent and varied, is easily adaptable to food allergies. The activities (safaris, tracking, cheetah walks, massages) were absolutely exceptional and gave us the opportunity to see so many species such as lions, rhinos, elephants, kudu, oryx, hyenas, giraffes, impalas. Our guide gave us the rare opportunity to track rhinos and elephants on foot — a truly unique experience!
The entire staff was attentive, caring, and very kind. Special mention to the manager, who was helpful, present, and always attentive.
A huge thank you to the whole team for this unforgettable stay, which we can warmly recommend!
