Me and my wife spent time in the lodge at Naankuse. It was so so special. We had a lodge booked and the sunset gave us incredible views of many giraffes. The accommodation was clean and exceptional quality. The food was exceptional at the lodge. The pool was the cleanest we have seen in Namibia. The service was exceptional also. A special place and a must see for travellers through Namibia.
Naankuse is a good addition to a Namibia trip, and very well located for the start or the end of a tour as it is close to the airport and the lodge can help with the transfers. We very much enjoyed meeting lodge manager Vernon who was clearly very proud of Naankuse. The guides were also fantastic and equally enjoyed their place of work. A lot of lodge staff in Namibia must work far away from their families and only see them a few times a year. At Naankuse many staff seem to live there with their families and they also have a clinic and school nearby that they run. As a tourist I am happy to see staff that are well looked after. It's also a non-profit charity as well so they are focussed on conservation of the wildlife. They have a huge reserve with lots of interesting animals and beautiful scenery. The carnivore feeding is well worth doing to see the animals up close. For these reasons I recommend Naankuse. The only downside is that some of the lodge is looking a little bit run down and could do with some rejuvenation, such as the pool area. This meant when we weren't doing activities it wasn't as relaxing as some of the other lodges. Thanks for a nice stay.

Naankuse Lodge and Wildlife Sanctuary was a beautiful experience from the moment I arrived. The rooms were comfortable, the meals were high quality, and the whole place felt peaceful and welcoming. One big plus was learning that a Deaf chef is part of the kitchen team and makes delicious food — that made the experience even more meaningful for me.
I highly recommend staying here and supporting their wildlife sanctuary work.
