The service has been excellent from start to finish. Everything is clean and well-maintained, great wellness facilities and restaurant in house. All the staff are lovely and attentive, and constantly went above and beyond to ensure everything was good. Also, special shout out to Amanda 🫶🏾🫶🏾

Having experienced the 5star feel and look at The Olive Express and Strand Hotel this 1 night sleep over before flying back to South Africa was a dissappointment. The hotel looks good but the beds need to be replaced, maybe renovations the other reviews referring to is yet to be done for the 2 rooms we saw. The 1st room allocated with 2 single beds flat and falling down towards the heads was changed upon complaining then we were allocated to the nice spacious room with a double bed too small for the room of that size with thin old uncomfortable matrass and linen that look and feel very very old. We decided not to complain this time around as we were tired after driving 4 hrs from Swakopmund but slept with eyes opened looking forward to see the sun and check out. The hotel must upgrade beds, which is what guests enjoys not the look and unmatched 4 str grading right now. Reception must pay attention to detail, I was told that my booking exclude breakfast only when we checked communication that indeed breakfast was included — why this was not checked before arrival?
Takeaway is the beautiful foyer, pool area and breakfast was great, oh yes and a spoil of chocolates locally made buffet on arrival.

Had an amazing night. Service is top notch and the food is awesome. Sunday buffet was yummy with a wide range of options. Saturday night had a chocolate hour. And they're a stone's throw away from Eros Airport. Walked to the airport with my bags.
The service team working at the hotel is impeccable.

We had a great set up from the amazing staff (Pamela and Denzel) and another incredible gentleman who delivered an exceptional request. From the food to the ambience, we give Mirage a whooping 10/1000. It was the most pleasant dinner.

This is a very friendly hotel with spacious, comfortable rooms. Comfortable areas to have a drink and chill out. Restaurant is good and breakfasts are very good with great freshly made omelettes or eggs to order. I actually stayed 3 different nights and each time was a good experience.

Ermello provided an exceptional dining experience! He was incredibly friendly while maintaining a high level of professionalism. His excellent people skills made us feel welcome and valued throughout our visit. Truly one of the best waiters we’ve had the pleasure of meeting. Highly recommend, although the cocktails were deceiving for the price, we will definitely be lured back by the experience overall!

I had 2 stays in 2024. It was great, the pool was clean, rooms smell fresh. The breakfast was great, empty as usual but fully stocked buffet. The restaurant food is good but takes forever and may be out of stock on certain items so have your mind open for changes. In addition, the gym is fantastic with 80% of the equipment functional.

The service was warm, friendly and welcoming from the gate up to our dinner table. The drinks were cold and the food was delicious. The portions are perfect and the view was relaxing. Our waiter Kapere was friendly and very helpful and always made us laugh.

The hotel exceeded my expectations! The staff were friendly and attentive, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect for exploring the area. I especially appreciated the attention to detail in ensuring a relaxing stay. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely time at the mirage with our host Amanda. She served us with a smile and a lot of information.
The food:
1) The Mirage Burger was quite lacking especially since its named after the restaurant. The presentation was so ordinary and the flavors were bland.
2) The Lemon & Garlic Chicken was amazing! It was juicy and full of flavor. Very filling.
Looking forward to seeing improvements here.

I truly enjoyed my 13 day stay at this hotel and everyone felt like family. I honestly felt at home there and really got to know the grounds well.
I miss my very late night gym sessions and I appreciate the staff letting me stay there to run on the treadmill well into the early hours of the morning.

. Beautiful pool areas, very nice gym, sauna. Excellent massage. Easy walk to the city if you like walking. WIndhoek farm hiking Mtb trails very close by. Excellent shopping mall nearby.

The establishment is just poor at customer service. Arrived at hotel at 12:32 and was told room will only be ready at 14:00 (which is understandable), at 15:30 I was still waiting for the room to be finished. Was eventually allocated another one. Fast forward following day, I call reception to request an iron and ironing board at 07:12, I am typing this at 09:18 after three follow up calls and I still dont have an iron.

Stayed for three nights before tour and one night after. Room was a good standard, large, nicely cleaned and bathroom well appointed. If rooms are upgraded to same standard as Reception it will be amazing. Found staff in all departments very friendly and professional. Alfredo was a star. My luggage didn't arrive with me, once it was located, Alfredo went above and beyond to reunite us!

The hotel is undergoing a brand change and upgrade to a Movenpick; however, the change over is not yet complete.
When we were there in the second week of January, the lobby and pool had been refreshed and looked excellent (the pool in particular is great! ), but the room we were assigned was still old. Though the aircon worked well and we had good space, the towels were tatty and the bed was both very narrow and also a worn and uncomfortable mattress.
Checkin and dining is done in the adjacent Mercure lobby for the moment. We enjoyed dinner and drinks there, which had a great selection. The Mercure pool was definitely not as nice, so I would recommend using the Movenpick one if you are able.
Overall this will be a really nice option once fully renovated. For now, I’d probably give it a pass until knowing that we were to get an updated room!
