Immanuel Wilderness Lodge

We stayed there in July 2025 for one night with our family. The lodge is located ideally when you’re heading further north. The owners and the staff are very friendly. The restaurant is extraordinary. Great place to stay.

The Immanuel Wilderness Lodge is superbly located just north of Windhoek, on the edge of the city but also in the countryside. Their food, from breakfast through lunch and dinner, is delicious and the portions are big. The highlight however are the rooms, which are spacious and set away from the main lodge, for a quiet getaway.

This was my husband and I first trip out of the country (USA). I researched and planned all of the trip to Namibia on my own, took quite a few hours/days but was so worth our memories. I was happy to find Immanuel Wilderness Lodge, it was the most peaceful and sweet little place to spend the night after landing. They organized our pick up from the Hosea Kutako airport and have us a later evening check in. The girls were so nice when we arrived. They took us to our room and made sure we didn't need anything, it was the cutest cleanest little hut room. The morning we went up to the lodge for a wonderful fresh breakfast and sat in the dining room with a beautiful view of the peaceful scenery and wildlife. They also had the sweetest cats that greet you also. My only complaint I didn't plan enough time to stay longer. Thank you Emmanuel Wilderness Lodge, we will return.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The place is an ideal getaway from the city buzz. They helped arrange agame drive for us and a massage session, this was oht of this world. Natasha was very helpful throughout.

The place looks really nice and well-organized, but let me explain to all of you, dear readers, the reason for my 1-star review.
We were trying to reach our place in the Brakwater area during a very heavy storm. We were about a 10-minute drive from home, we were on holiday, and that night I was hosted by my sister who lived in Brakwater. It was raining very heavily, and the river down the road in the Kia Ora area was flowing. To reach our place, we would have had to cross the river with our car, but the current was very strong, and we could not do it without seriously risking our lives. We decided to wait for the rain to calm down and for the river to pass by.
The area is very isolated, and the only place we could reach was Immanuel Lodge. We arrived there when the sun was setting to ask for shelter. We were thinking of having dinner there or getting a drink while waiting for the storm to pass so we could go home. As soon as they saw us, the lady at the reception could not stop saying, “I cannot accommodate you, I am fully booked, we have a function tonight, ” and she put us out the door, in the dark, under the rain, in very dangerous circumstances.
Now… dear lady, if you are reading this message, please think about this: you work in the HOSPITALITY industry.

I am intend not to write bad comments, the comment should be a hint for to renovate and do something with this lodge. Overall the Bedrooms and houses are poor, the water quality is bad. Anothe lodge only few kilometers away habe much better water, we stay in Immanuel only because the other ones a fully booked. Restaurant ok, portions are small.

The food is excellent. The lodge is more and more set in between industrial sites. The rooms need modernization desperately. Bathroom has the appearance to be out of 1950, and half of the installations do not work properly or are missing completely.

Very well kept and clean rooms. Can do with extra seating and a small fridge.

Natashja is the Best of the Best! She went above and beyond, and helped plan my entire trip in Nambia. Natashja is a GEM in the hospitality business. She deserves all the respect and admiration she receives in her life. 5 Star.

I just went there to have breakfast. The food was good and I liked the friendliness of the staff. The place is so tranquil and uou can Aldo relax at the poolside.

This place has a fantastic chef! Actually he is the owner of the hotel as we understood. I Highly recommend to have a dinner in this lodge. The best food in our Namibian trip was in this place. My wife didn’t feel good, so the chef prepared a special food for her. Thank you very much!

Finding a place that immerses you in the untamed wilderness of Namibia is rare, but this experience truly delivered. The atmosphere was unparalleled, capturing the raw beauty of the landscape perfectly. As a delightful bonus, the food was exceptional. A special thank you for their invaluable guidance on the route to Sesriem.

We spent a great last day & night at the Immanuel Wilderness Lodge before we had to say Good-Bye to Namibia. At the Lodge we felt very welcome, had nice and clean bungalows and a great dinner.

We stayed our first night in Namibia and so glad we did. Only a short drive from Windhoek and peaceful and a great venue to catch you breath and recharge after the flight.
The lodge itself is very clean and professional with lovely rooms and a great dinning room. The food, both dinner and breakfast were lovely and wholesome.
All the staff were very attentive and helpful with both the owner/manager and the chef making a point of speaking to everyone to ensure all was OK.
Highly recommend as a first/last night stopping point.

Very convenient for Windhoek airport, far enough out that you feel relaxed and in nature! Great staff and incredible food. Clean and comfortable rooms!

We stayed at the lodge for one night after some business meetings in Windhoek and enjoyed the lovely setting, the pool and the excellent food at the restaurant by star chef Stephan Hock. In the morning we dug into a scrumptious breakfast while watching the springboks at the waterhole.
We will be back again.

Excellent stay for one night at the start of our Namibia trip. Accommodation was comfortable, the food (dinner and breakfast) was excellent and the staff were all very friendly. The little waterhole provided plenty of bird interest, as well as springbok and bontebock while enjoying a pre-dinner drink. A couple of resident ostriches and some tortoises also added interest.
Would definitely recommend for a one night stopover.
