Whether you are in the area to hike the Fish River Canyon or just passing through and need a place to rest, look no further. This family owned guest house and farm is incredibly special.

My wife and I camped for one night at White House. It is a lovely stop over with very friendly hosts. The booking process was also very easy and all correspondence was very responsive.

We looked for a place to spend the night as we travelled north for South Africa. This was an excellent choice. We stayed in the glamping units, very cheap for a good bed and clean bathroom facilities.

We stayed at Grunau Country Hotel for a stop over on our way back to South Africa. This is tiny place is near the boarder and very convenient. I was surprised with the beauty and the friendly staff.

Absolutely LOVED it! We only stayed one night, but I wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely stay there again. The owner and staff were so friendly and attentive.

American motel style with cars, old tools etc. Nicely decorated. Staff very friendly and professional. Safe car park and fuel station. Small pool area.

This is most definately a place to stop. Celion and Andre you are the best such a warm welcome and I must tell that your lodge is more than 5 stars to rate.

Not many places convenient to Fish River Canyon, Upington and Springbok. This was ideal. We had a pleasant self-catering family room with covered Braai.

We had the great pleasure of staying here in August 2025. The scenery was breathtaking and the weather was pleasant. Our room was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and very comfortable.

We normally stayed in Grunau but pushed on this time to get through the border sooner the next morning. I booked through Lekkerslaap, but this little gem surprised us.

This establishment is super neat and luxurious. It felt like walking into a 5-star hotel after a day on the road.

I had an absolutely insane time on this trip.

The Orange River adventure is a fantastic experience! As a disabled person I was able to request an extra guide at an additional cost. The guides are wonderful: enthusiastic and skilled paddlers.

Individual self catering rooms with fridges, coffee and tea. Neat and clean and close to parking. Lovely pool to cool off in. Which is great as this is one of the hottest areas in Namibia.

Amazing guest house not only for a stopover. Very clean and modern rooms, which have everything you could ask/which for. Friendly staff and overall nice experience.

Guides were absolutely incredible (hard working, good cooks, and great hosts) and the tour was so much fun and beautiful!

The guides were great! They were super knowledgeable about all the fauna and flora down the river. They served us some of the best meals we had in Namibia, accompanied with great conversation.
