Karas Hotels with a Parking

The most amazing place to just be. Rooms are everything needed, clean and well priced. The people are the heart of the farm. So friendly and helpful. I stayed a few days, and could have stayed longer.

After a long day driving — this was an amazing spot that provided us with the best meal on our whole holiday. Enough to feed an army!

Facilities and meals are excellent. Staff was very friendly and took care of our needs. The Management was friendly though.

We had a wonderful time. The staff, food and accommodation all 5 star.

Our stay was excellent.

Food was great, options on menu was very impressive for a hotel located in middle of nowhere. Service was 1st class.
Luxury rooms are the preferred option.

There’s no better place to rest and replenish after a long drive! Impeccably clean and safe, parking right outside the unit, and oom Johan is always friendly and ready to share his warm hospitality!

Not many places convenient to Fish River Canyon, Upington and Springbok. This was ideal. We had a pleasant self-catering family room with covered Braai.

We had the great pleasure of staying here in August 2025. The scenery was breathtaking and the weather was pleasant. Our room was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and very comfortable.

Even before we could stop, we were welcomed like old friends, helped to get food, as we arrived late and with no reservation.

We were on our way to Cape Town and due to the closure of N7 we had to take a big detour, and needed a last minute reservation. Sunset Chalets were excellent!

We normally stayed in Grunau but pushed on this time to get through the border sooner the next morning. I booked through Lekkerslaap, but this little gem surprised us.

This establishment is super neat and luxurious. It felt like walking into a 5-star hotel after a day on the road.

I had an absolutely insane time on this trip.

The Orange River adventure is a fantastic experience! As a disabled person I was able to request an extra guide at an additional cost. The guides are wonderful: enthusiastic and skilled paddlers.

Guides were absolutely incredible (hard working, good cooks, and great hosts) and the tour was so much fun and beautiful!

The guides were great! They were super knowledgeable about all the fauna and flora down the river. They served us some of the best meals we had in Namibia, accompanied with great conversation.
