Orpheus Camping

We booked in as Frances and John Renwick on our way to Etosha. Lovely place. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming. We were the only 2 people staying that night and the owners made a braai just for us and joined us for dinner. It's a working farm and it was interesting to see all the goats running around. Our cottage had an unusual dome ceiling set in with 4 glass bricks. Light rays from the full moon created an other worldy effect so much so that we both turned to each other and said "Beam me up Scotty! "

Very Beautiful House where you feel like home! Amazing family who makes amazing dinner and is very loving and caring. Thank you for the amazing stay! Will remember this place and can definitely recommend.

The Orpheus Inn is an absolute gem! Carina and Danie are such friendly and fantastic hosts and the premises are so lovely and well kept with attention to detail. As a family of four, we felt incredibly well looked after and cared for in this wonderful accommodation. The apartment we stayed in had 2 separate bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a spacious kitchenette with a high table and bar stools, a cozy sofa area and a lovely terrace with outdoor seating.
There are fans and a small portable air conditioner.
You have fresh drinking water from the tap which comes from an underground well. The refrigerator is stocked with bottled water and there are cookies and candies in the kitchen. The apartment is well decorated. It may not be to everyone's taste, but you can clearly feel that it is made with love and comes from the heart, and we really liked the style and felt at home. The bathrooms are perfectly sized and have amenities like soap and shower gel. The place is neat and clean. The outside area is beautiful, a large brai/BBQ area, a nice well-kept garden, a pool and a huge butter tree. The place is kind of in the middle of nowhere but conveniently located between Etosha and Terrace Bay. The Inn is quiet except all the different cute and friendly animals running around. There are 4 super friendly dogs that want to be petted all the time, there are goats, peacocks, white doves, francolins and much more roaming around. You really feel connected to nature and wildlife.
