Serondela Lodge

As a family of four adults we loved Serondela. The luxury tents, with views of Chobe National Park were delightful. Nature all around and the African sounds, sunrise and sundowners will always be remembered. The rooms were clean and comfortable.
The meals were delicious and we were able to see the game coming to the river from where we ate.
We went on the river cruises and a land cruise and were very pleased with all the game we saw from Elephants and Hippo to Lion and Leopard with a vast range of birds and smaller mammals as well.
The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful.

I was very interested in getting to know this area in Africa. After looking up on the internet, I have found your lodge.
You have always been very nice since the very first contact, always trying to answer my questions.
I took a connecting flight in Johannesburg to get to Kasane. I flew with Airlink. It was a nice flight with excellent onboard service and no problems with my carry-on 15 kg backpack.
When arriving Kasane, I had a very nice young employee waiting for me, that drove me to Chope river, at the Namibia border.
After a few minutes to get the visa on my passport, we took a boat to the lodge. The boat ride was about 2 hours, with some stops to take pictures to the wildlife. It was a pleasant boat trip. I could realize how abundant wildlife is in this area.
I was very welcome by your staff when arriving the lodge. The bedroom was big and very comfortable. The guest areas are wide and with beautiful views to Chobe river. The staff has always been nice. I enjoyed the food and the drinks.
It’s far from the crowded Chobe Park. The daily boat rides were wonderful, always finishing with a drink at sunset.
These have been 4 wonderful days. I hope I come back one day.

First of all: Location is great as it's directly at the river front and you can watch beautiful sunsets and animals all day long.
Game drives on the boat were also amazing, so was our guide.
But: Rooms were rather dirty (dead insects on the floor and table) and we paid over 80 dollars for the laundry, for which, in other (more expensive) hotels, we would have paid around 15 dollars. The manager indicated that the laundry is for free and there was no price list. Furthermore, we had an open bottle of wine left from the evening before, which disappeared and was not found — the manager told us we didn't have any wine left and should order a new bottle. Overall, the impression was that they are trying to make money by putting on hidden or intransparent charges/methods. This behaviour was very disappointing to us and unfortunately, left a bad overall impression.

Stunning! we really loved the setting and the view onto the chobe river. We saw elephants & hippo just from our veranda. Getting to the lodge by boat was fantastic (the immigration was "African"). Great service, friendly staff. The sundowners were special and fantastic.

Serondella Lodge is an amazing place that awes in beauty, service, dining, caring and kindness. We, a family of 10, just returned from 4 days at Serondella and it was an experience that none of us will ever forget. The facility is just gorgeous, the layout perfect, the food beyond expectations and amazing, but it is the staff that makes this place particularly wonderful. Lorna, the Manager creates the tone for the well run, thoughtful service, with fine dining, impeccable care, and a physical setting which invites the animals into the natural setting creating an experience that can not be imagined. She is exceptional in her creation and management of a perfect experience. Girly warmly manages each guest’s every need with an exceptional staff. From wake up for the twice daily safari, with TJ softly knocking on your door early in the morning, to Aubrey and TJ’s guidance on safaris that boggles the imagination and challenges he the senses, to the unbelievable lunch each day, followed by the evening safari, and then a dinner that just blows you away. All just amazing. And then there is the strong solid hand of Aubrey and the thoughtful and expert leadership and commentary of award winning guide TJ that makes the Serondella safari the best in the area. And those bush cocktail parties and breakfast……. Just wow! And the thoughtful guidance of Trevor of GoLunar in picking the perfect Lodge……huge thanks.

We stayed two nights in a paradise on the edge of Chobe Park. The place is simply incredible run by model employees. A big thank you to Atra, Admire and Nico for their kindness and the services received. We will forever remember the vision of the elephants in front of the lodge and the explanations given during the various visits.

A lovely lodge on the Chobe River. Its location upriver is quiet and away from other lodges, so there are lots of birds and animals around with few boats. The lodge is fully solar powered and there is no air conditioning but the pool helps you keep cool. Staff are friendly and happy to adjust activities to your preferences, just talk to them and they will work it out.

A beautiful lodge with clear eco values and links with the local community. I loved the boat transfer from Kasane and the sunset tour; lots of animals and beautiful views. Our tour guide, Nico was fantastic — he was friendly and happy to share his knowlege of the local area as well as the wildlife. All the staff were great, the chefs were trialing new menus when we were there and the food was delicious, served ‘family style’ in the evening. The rooms are comfortable and clean. We stayed for two nights and I wish it had been longer.

Really nice lodge. The location is fantastic. Right on the Chobe river but quite a ways upstream from Kasane. Hardly any other boats around, compared to closer to town where the river is quite crowded. Great game viewing on the safari cruises. Elephants galore plus Hippos, Lion and fantastic birding. Rooms are very nice and the food is great as well. Would defiantly stay there again.

An amazing eco-lodge with great service/amazing staff and food, accommodations and an atmosphere like no other! From birds to big five sightings…. Stunningly unique!

We have just finished our Namibian safari holiday and stayed at several lodges during our stay. Our last stop was at Serondela Lodge and we were blown away. Located in the middle of beautiful surroundings with so many animals it was spectacular. Additionally the accommodation was amazing with high end decor and very relaxed and peaceful. Last but not least the pleasant owner and staff, made us feel at home! All in all, the highlight of our holidays. Can’t recommend enough!

Just spent 2 nights at Serondela and we can’t recommend this place highly enough!
Fantastic location, wonderful game viewing from the lodge and the boat, very helpful and friendly owner and staff, and excellent food — what more could you ask for?!
If you haven’t been there yet, you’re missing out on a great African experience.

Wow! Make sure you visit this incredible place. A warm welcome, beautiful accommodation and animals everywhere. In one morning we had seen a lion with its kill, elephants, hippos, giraffe, warthog, crocodile, buffalo, monitor lizard, lots of different antelope and more birds than I can name. And this was without leaving the lodge! It is a magical place. Photos to follow when I get home!

The place is a paradise on earth! And the staff is attentive and caring.
