Spaces campsite, friendly staff well maintained and clean. Water and electric point in each site and spaces between sites. Nice lit water pan at night. Saw rhino during one night. The shop is well stocked but no ice, freshly backed rolls available in the shop.
Inside the national park campsite perfect for those who just want to see the animal up close or just do short drive during the day. The resorts has everything you need but you will be paying a little extra, not much for the convenience of having things accessible. The pool was good, a little dirty but I guess in the middle of the park there is nothing much you can do. Still was okay to swim and refresh.
The campsite is comfortable and has area for washing dishes or preparing food, also a lot bathrooms next to you which make it really nice to take a shower at the end of the day. We recommended!

Sadly, I really can’t recommend Halali Camp.
Taking into consideration the price of a pitch, the outdated and in some cases broken facilities (broken showers, not hot water and grubby sinks) and not particularly helpful or interested staff, we had a pretty bad experience.
Yes, there is a watering hole to sit out. But I don’t feel this out weights the disappointment from the rest of the site.
As soon as there is any rain, the site becomes very muddy. Heads up for any 2WD.
Spend your money elsewhere and choose a campsite outside the gate and drive in each day or do a game drive.
All the NWR sites we visited were pretty decrepit and worn out.
