Bambi Lodge was a delightful stopover between the serene Kavango camping experience and the return to the daily grind in Windhoek.
The convenient distance from Divundu to Grootfontein makes it a manageable journey, especially after dismantling a campsite we spent a week at.
Nestled just outside of Grootfontein, our jovial host, Felix Bamberger, added his touch of camaraderie to our memorable braai session on the beautiful lawn.
The glamping tents offer cozy comfort, and Felix's staff along with his dogs, ensure a safe and welcoming environment for guests and their vehicles.
We recommend Bambi Lodge to relaxed and easy-going travelers.

The worst accommodation we had in Namibia. Everything you touch here is falling apart. Mess everywhere around building, breakfast very basic. We were afraid to take a shower in this dirty bathroom. Ceiling in the bathroom was falling apart.

Ideally situated on the outskirts of Grootfontein, Bambi Lodge is a safe and convenient stopping place for all. We were warmly welcomed by Felix, the host and had a comfortable stay in one of the Lodge rooms (although tents and camping are also available). A substantial breakfast is provided along with evening meal if requested — all good home cooked food by Felix himself!
Felix is always on hand to offer help and advice. When we mentioned that we need our documents stamped by customs, he took time out to guide us to the nearest customs office, and he also took us out on his his little boat for a beer! Good conversation and great company!
Happy to recommend this friendly stopover.
