The epitome of Namibian warmth! Absolutely amazing! We arrived well past 22:00 on a stormy December night, after a very long journey from Pta. Our reservation was confirmed by the owner, who also moved us to another room on account of the extreme heat and arrangements were made for the collection of our keys. On arrival we were accomodated in a family oasis: a deluxe room, the aircon already turned on, with 2 icy cold beers in the fidge, Every inch squecky clean and neat as can be. Lets not forget Wi-fi access. Unfortunately, we could not stay for breakfast, but if I could rate it on smell alone, it would also get a 5! Looking forward to staying there again in a few day's time. Thank you Ansonette and personnel for your awesome service and friendliness. Will recommend you any time!

This was simply perfect. We had been roaming Africa for 2 months on a motorcycle when we showed up in Gobabis exhausted. On our Africa journey, we stayed at many different accommodation, from the guesthouse in a small village in Tanzania to the world renowned big hotel chain. Our room at the Windpomp Guesthouse was BY FAR the best hotel room we stayed in. Period.
We had the luxury room and it was simply perfection. The room was big and the bathroom was larger than the room we had in the previous town.
The staff was awesome and always happy to talk to the crazy Canadians on the motorcycle.
Breakfast was very good. The hotel did not have a restaurant when we were there, but there is plenty of good ones around the corner.

Great place for a getaway. Very clean. Extremely efficient service. Felt welcomed and good food and beautiful room. I stayed in the kudu room which I loved.

Stayed there both ways on a Kaokoland tour. Nice rooms, friendly staff, good breakfast, well located opposite mall for last-minute shopping. Walking distance from nice restaurant. Rooms next to kitchen/laundry a bit noisy on a Friday evening, but alternative lodging also available.

We stayed in the windpomp two times, on trip to Maun and back. Its a nice place in the middle of a quite rough town.
Hard to find an acceptable restaurant, but in the windpomp you get a very good and tasty breakfast. The owner family does everything to keep the guests happy.
We recommand the windpomp to all travellers driving through Gobabis.

Clean rooms, service is friendly, location is far very much. Need to make sure you're car is good on road, because it's gravel road and have enough fuel in the tank. Love the environment because it's very much beautiful green.

We stayed here at the start and end of our journey through Namibia. The owner and her mum were very welcoming as were the other staff. The room was clean and comfortable. The room was furnished in a quirky way using old Landrover parts for various items of furniture, we thought it was brilliant.
Breakfast had lots of choice and the omlettes were super.

This is a beautiful place to stay, the staff was so friendly and also the owners.
The bedrooms are huge, with large bathrooms added, which included a large tub, double shower.
The whole place has a antique style making it feel elegant and unique.
The free breakfast was excellent, cooks custom prepared the food according to each client's desire.
Price is very reasonable for what they give you.
Extra cheers to the owners mom, who did her part to make us feel at home.
I forgot to mention the large selection of beautiful birds that they have.
