No fresh air in room and hallway, window inside the room but owner not allowed to open. Toilet bowl is not stand size, bed is too low, water drains too slow when we wash our face, no air inside escalator they put jasmine sambac flower inside the escalator. We pay tips to staff but owner banned to receive, very disgusted don’t go there. Staff are friendly type, not all.

Good at serving. Halls are good for celebrating PROGRAMS, WEDDING, SUMMIT AND MEETING.

Service good. Location good.

The staff are friendly. The rooms are spacious for its price.

Door lock is very bad. Most rooms have this problem. Always if need to enter, it is difficult to open. Breakfast is not enough for all.

Nice Place, fair price & nice food. Very closed to the New 52nd street Food Count (Night Market). Just 1 minute walk to 52nd st. Food Count.

The Building was the corner of the junction. Especially easy for in and out. The owner was so friendly and has a heart of Gold. Good services and the accommodation also affordable. I really enjoyed my first time in Orchid Hotel. All the best…

Cheap and best. But noisy from outside.

Very small room, single rooms by road side. Hope to get lots of noises (horn) the whole day. Not worthy for your hard earned cash.

EXCELLENT I stayed there between January 10th and 17th. The owner is friendly. The staff (reception, restaurant, housekeeping, maintenance, and the rest) were extremely helpful. You just express your needs and they will make sure everything is done to your satisfaction. Buffet breakfast (continental and local) which is included in the tariff, is excellent. Tea, coffee, bananas and juices complement all the exciting Burmese dishes. If you see noodles and rice, don't be surprised as the Burmese eat them as part of their breakfast. We need to be adventurous and try their national breakfast dish, Mohinghar (rice noodles in fish soup) ; it is very tasty. Location is great and if you like local food there are several eateries and even a night market with over 30 stalls within a couple of minutes' walk. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

We stayed here with my husband and we had a great time! The room was clean, absolutely love the breakfast and there were alot of vegan options and the staff was helpful and friendly.

Great place to stay in Yangon at the heart of downtown for an affordable price. Breakfast was diverse and there were many veg options available which was great for my wife and me. The Wi-Fi was a bit slower than what we are used to on the first day but after that, it went back to normal. You may wanna try the Wi-Fi at the lobby if you are having trouble with Wi-Fi in your room. There were three English dailies every day and a few English magazines to choose from at the lobby. Hot and cold water dispenser at the lobby and complimentary drinks throughout the day. Cozy lounge area at our floor. They have a weekly Yoga session on Thursdays, we found out only after the session was over but I thought I should mention it here for future guests. Thank you Orchid Yangon.

Very basic hotel, good for travelers on a budget. If you want to get to know the local culture, this is the place to stay.

Staff is very polite and doing a good job. The hotel is also quite well located for visiting the "old town". However the price of the rooms is quite high for Burmese price levels and the rooms are quite worn down and old, so bad value for money. Breakfast could also be improved.

For a not-so-developed country, Yangon Hotel is just newly renovated and well maintained. A good and peaceful rest and clean toilets. The breakfast is average and basic.

I've stayed in this hostel on March 2017. All were good. The customers service warmly welcome us, kindly and helpful. We got orange juice as soon as arrived. The room is clean, AC was pretty cold, it has rooftop bar, the guests could get free flow coffee and juice all day long. We could enjoy Yangon city from rooftop and they gave a great price. We could book bus ticket to Bagan or Mandalay from the hostel also… recomended hostel to stay in Yangon.

Hostel has a brand new lobby. Good place to meet people. Hopefully they will renovate the rooms also to make them a little bit more cramped and the beds less noisy.

Arrived at 2am and checked in. The Staff were warm welcoming and friendly. One of the receptionists poured me a glass of orange juice which was very welcome indeed. Was shown to my dorm and crashed out. Woke up in time for breakfast went up to the 8th floor to be greeted by a spectacular view of the river and Yangon. Good solid breakfast too. This is a very well appointed hostel which I would strongly recommend when visiting Yangon. The beds are long and wide too go great if you are a tall person.

It is very old and expensive for the 3 stars hotel. The rooms are old and need upgrades. However, the location is great if you are willing to give up other amenities and services.

Yes, this is a good place. Clean and friendly. Good towels. The cafe on the top. Tee, coffee and drinking water are always available.

Fair price, most of NGOs in Myanmar are organized their event.

Very comfortable beds and great rain shower. Breakfast was decent. Only complain would be that the bathrooms never seemed to get cleaned and that they don't have a maximum stay, so you have people in the dorm who actually live there and have boxes full of stuff laying around. There also doesn't seem to be an age limit so if you're in your 30s and feeling self conscious about staying at a dorm don't worry, you'll feel pretty young here.

The building is old but good place to hold ceremonies and events.

Wonderful place to stay. We were lucky to catch a promotion price and were happy of that, cause minimum price for Yangon is around 20 usd (I mean for tourists). And that can be a box 2*2 without window, dirty place, etc. Here we got a luxurious room with aircon, TV, fridge, table and mirror, hot shower, free breakfast… and all this for just 30 usd! Our room was clean, linen and towels were white and smelled good. WI fi worked in our room. Hot water was all the day whenever we wanted to have a shower. Personal is veeery friendly, extremely) ) They always tried to do their best to the clients! Breakfast is a buffet, so you can take whatever you want and as much as you want. Very cool beginning of the day. Recommend everyone!

Not the best place to stay for a long time because of it's location. But for few days it's pretty good.

Stayed here for 7 days. The staff are well mannered and helpful. The room I had was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is located in not a bad area. Wifi is slightly slow but works. There is a hotel provided breakfast which tastes so-so, but you should be trying the street food in the area anyway (lucky seven nearby comes to mind)

Oh. I liked this hotel and I enjoyed my stay there. The hotel provides a great facilities and as I first step in the hotel, I felt like I became a part of a big family. The staffs work together cooperatively and welcome the guests with warm welcoming smile. And there was an wonderful General Manager Ms. Kathy and she was the the Best General Manager I had ever seen. She is good in communication, polite, kind and she is understanding. Most of all she was a hard worker I had ever seen. And No wonder that the Hotel organized by her is wonderful. To describe her wonderful, would be an understatement because she is not just wonderful. She is amazing. I hope to stay there in my next visit to Rangoon.

Worst ever! No smoking, no alcohol, no window, no bringing guests. All in all they dont offer a thing and ask everything.

A nice metaphor for Yangon — — in that everything works including in room Wi-Fi AND all is IMPROVING. Breakfast abundant, versatile and popular. Best part is the young, eager-to-please, friendly staff who are also kind. Tariff's are expensive reflecting demand greatly exceeding supply and appear relatively fair. We would definitely stay here again.

Hotel owner itself who is also managing director will standing at the front desk every mirning to facilitate the guest requirement with always smiling. Its the excelent place for those who want to stay in allace like smoke free n alcohal free zone. All hotel staff are very friendly from house keeping to the wife of the hotel owner (managing director wife) whi is always smile angd giving helping hand to. Hotel. Guest. Room are clean n free of odour smell. I used to stay this hotel when ever I travel to yangon for my business.
