I loved my stay at Gypsy Inn!
My stay was very comfortable, the design of the hotel is nice and its in a good, central location. The price is also very reasonable.
The owner and his wife are very kind!
I enjoyed talking with him and he helped me out a lot. Arranged a tuktuk to take me to some surrounding temples, translated everything for me and arranged a bus ticket to Bagan.
I also rented a bicycle from them.
Overall, I would recommend a stay at Gypsy Inn and would love to return someday.
The hotel usually closes the gates at night time which is okay but useful to keep in mind, you can contact them to open the gate if you arrive back late.

Had an awesome stay here recently! Such a lovely owner who went well out of his way to help us book lake tours, book buses, and explore the local area.
Tourist places are obviously doing it hard in Lake Inle but we still got the best experience possible for an amazing price.
Legends! Definitely recommend a stay!

The hotel has excellent location close to the boat parking, and the biggest plus is a very good Wi-Fi. The price is lowest in town. The staff is very kind. They speak good English. Room ok for the price. Not so much hot water but it's ok. Bottom floor (Standard room) next to the reception can be VERY noisy early in the morning. However, BE CAREFUL if you want to ask them to assist you with booking the bus tickets because they might be charging big commission fees! Just go and buy your tickets directly at the bus company ticket office in the city center. I paid 50% more than my friend who booked the ticket via our guide. I only used their service because I didn't know that the ticket office was open in the early morning! I think they could provide visitors with accurate information about buses and where to find them. If I would get the accurate information I could go and buy my own bus ticket instead.
