Amazing place to stay. Staff is super professional and rooms are comfortable and beautifully decorated. I recommend!

Good location, but loud street traffic. The "Palace View" is only a "Wall View". If you appreciate privacy, you need to keep the curtains closed because the balcony is in front of the window, accessible to everyone. Shower/Badewannd without a curtain. Bed stains have sheets. Bathroom stinks. The Safe was only attached to the underside of a table. Countless mosquitoes AND even spiders in the room. Finally, a line of ants runs through the room, but at least the sweetness of the Gecko feels to be here.

Staffs are helpful, but the facility always has sth wrong, electric problems, pos machine. And the front side of lower floors are exposed to traffic noisy.

We had a very enjoyable stay here in January. Our first room was too small to lay both our suitcases down to unpack and there was a very high step (more than 1 foot) up into the shower area and my partner tripped over this in the night. I think the design of this room may have been compromised by being adjacent to the lift shaft. However, as soon as another room became free on the second night, the staff moved all our belongings to a much larger and better room at no additional cost. The hotel is convenient for seeing all the most interesting parts of Mandalay and the hotel staff were all very helpful.

Bath room is not clean. Hard bed. And a lot of mosquitoes.

It is fine and commensurate of a 3-star hotel. Breakfast is a about the same. Not bad and not great. Staff is nice as one knows about Myanmar people :-)

Mid range budget hotel with views of the Mandalay Palace walls and Mandalay Hill (from level 3/4). The hotel is clean with friendly staff and a great breakfast. What let the Palace View down a little for us was the mould in the bathroom — we were on level 1 so the problem might only affect this floor and breakfast in the morning being completely finished by 9am but other than this I'd recommend staying here and using it as a base for exploring Mandalay. (Tip — the hotel tours and taxis are expensive so shop around for cheaper prices. Checkout a place called Rainforest restaurant the owner does decent deals on tours. Also the entrance to the Mandalay palace is 2.5kms from the hotel (entry from only the east side)
