After having stayed hear already some years ago we returned to the hotel as we had it in good memory. Unfortunately we were a bit disappointed. The teakwood floors once looked nice but now the place is worn and would need some renovation. The bathroom was run down and buying new towels wouldn’t be a mistake. The rooms to the street are very noisy. The breakfast was mostly asian and only bread, toast and a few cereals and eggs made to order for westerners. Staff is always very friendly and helpful but english is not understood very well. Other guests we saw were only Chinese yelling through the hallway. Unfortunately we cannot recommend the place any longer to western tourists as long as nothing changes.
Hotel with Chinese owner in the downtown of Mandalay with good opportunities for visiting the Highlights of town and arround. Rooms with enough space and normal funiture. The safe was out of Order and a pipe in the bathroom was broken when we the hotel arrived. Staff at the reception were not so friendly. Good chinese breakfast and Tea.
