Montebelo Girassol Maputo Hotel

This hotel is one of my first hotel when I was young that I enter, due to the fact was on my neighborhood, nice place good view, nice service and good food.

Very nice and clean hotel, the pool and view is beautiful besides a few buildings.

Great rooms and facilities in general. Restaurant staff however unattentative and slow. They prefer to stand around and play on their phones.

Overall, my stay at the hotel was pleasant and met the expectations of a 4-star establishment. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, and the staff was friendly and attentive. However, there were a few minor issues that could be improved upon.
Firstly, I noticed that complimentary body lotion was not provided in the rooms, which is a standard amenity at most hotels in South Africa. This was a minor inconvenience but would have been appreciated.
Secondly, the toilet paper rolls were quite small and ran out quickly. I had to request more rolls on several occasions, and on my last day, I was unable to get a roll delivered to my room despite repeated requests. This caused some unnecessary stress during my stay.
Despite these minor issues, I would still recommend this hotel to others.

Yes, the views are great, and the rooms spacious, but the place is just unfriendly and impersonal. When you walk in, the receptionist doesn't greet you, and the reception area is just so confusing! It's not clear where to go, and we were not told we needed to use a card to activate the lift?
There was no information in the bedroom, and my room had some very old past their sell by date flowers in a vase! The basin in the bathroom is so shallow, and not practical at all, as is the door stopper right in from of the toilet!
It took 4 attempts and a long wait to give me the correct card to open the door to my room when I checked in.
Breakfast, what breakfast? I went at 06.25, and left at 06.45, as breakfast was still being laid out, with no drinks etc available.
None of the reception staff spoke English, and could not assist me.

Close to many resturants. Hotel feels like it was built in a rush. Rooms spacious though toilet had bad smell. Very few Tv channels. Breakfast abysmal. Eggs prefried and unattractive layout of food. Dining room unattractive and food layout poor. At the lobby I was rudely called to pay in advance for my 5 day stay when I had already put card detail down I suppose language barrier. Staff uniforms not standard across staff. Its ok for the price.

Look, I am super satisfied with every single aspect!
Seriously, the way the staff is trained and doesn't use the training by it's self, they actually standby your needs as clients. Especially happy with the receptionist Mr Youness and Miss Maria, it was a fenomenal weekend and I couldn't recommend a better place to stay.
The room service was a delight.
The food was good.
Little details that can change anyones mood to be frank.
I truly had a good time.

Wonderfully stylish hotel in the city center — the location is minutes away from all the major sights (although do take care to not walk alone at night). Room layout is very unique with large spaces and a very cool balcony. Comfy beds and a generally relaxed vibe. Breakfast was great on the terrace overlooking the city. Staff is very helpful. Only wish is for the Wi-Fi to be as fast in the room as it is in the lobby.

Rooms are very well appointed. Airconditioned and very comfortable. No bath in the bathrooms but otherwise very nice. Bed was very comfortable.
Hotel is laid out as a round building so navigating around the premises is rather challenging. Some floors are across different levels. Central elevator is not working. So the only access to the rooms is through the service elevator.
Breakfast was a complete buffet. Food seems to be of a high quality.
