MyGuest still owes me 6000 MT…
The place is fine, has a small pool and an all right breakfast (with a poor and weak coffee).
It is a boutique like hotel with a stylish decoration and the receptionists and the kitchen staffs are friendly. The rooms are also OK, though the drain in the toilet smells wrong. The big BUT is the management of the facility and their inventive accounting and argumentation.
Upon check-out we realise that the invoice states an extra bed of 6000 MZ, though it clearly says on the price list in the reception that "Children from 0-11 years old (inclusive) are free of charge, in extra bed. " The English is not consise, as you may notice (as well as my own English being flawy), but I am convinced about the intended meaning: we are not supposed to pay for the extra bed!
Though the listed price policy, we have not yet succeded in getting our 6000 MTs refunded as the hotel argues that we did not have an extra bed supplied for the kid, but a mattress, which, obviously, costs 6000 MTs…

Nos cobraram 6.000 por uma "cama grátis” O lugar é bom, com uma pequena piscina e um bom café da manhã — com exceção do café, que provinha exclusivamente de uma máquina Nespresso que não funcionava. Mas é um hotel moderno e bem decorado, e os empregados da recepção e da cozinha são simpáticos e prestativos. O único e grande porém é a gerência do estabelecimento, com sua contabilidade criativa e argumentação fantástica. No checkout percebemos na conta a cobrança de 6.000 meticais por uma cama extra, apesar de um quadro na recepção afirmar que "crianças entre 0 e11 anos são acomodadas gratuitamente em cama extra". Ao questionarmos a questão com o recepcionista, ele primeiramente argumentou que o que foi oferecido não foi uma cama, mas um colchão, e depois tentou apontar que em Moçambique uma criança da idade da nossa (3 anos e 10 meses) dorme com os pais, na mesma cama. A listagem de argumentos irrelevantes e ilógicos foi retomada com a chegada da gerente. Inicialmente ela disse não saber que essa política estava escrita no quadro da recepção, e até se rendeu por um minuto quando fomos até lá e eu li a frase em voz alta.
