The room was a bit small but clean with mosquito net and the Wi-Fi fast. The staff very friendly and helpful. The food was tasty and the view of the Katembe fridge especially at night, very beautiful. The parking is safe as there’s a protection officer 24/7.
Stay away — Owner Benjamin called me after more than a month long struggle of trying to get a response on Very bad experience at this place.
Benjamin the owner says — Unfortunately there is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY AT ALL that they can ever offer refunds.
Why? The company is just not set-up to enable them to do payment in such instances.
Me — Really Benjamin? You have ZERO INTENTION of EVER refunding customers despite admitting that the hotel is not in good state. What does that signal to you?
Benjamin — Im sorry Thats just not possible at all. We have never done a refund and cannot offer you one.
The carpets were is thick with dust and rooms dampness with smells coming from the pipes in the bathroom. I got sick and had to check out to avoid the hospital admission. There is no ventilation inside the hotel. The beds are the worst — good luck getting a good nights sleep.

Excellent stay at Katembe Gallery Hotel! The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly and professional, and the beautiful views made the experience even more enjoyable. Great food, peaceful atmosphere, and good value for money. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Maputo!
