This was honestly the friendliest and most hospitable stay that we had during our Marocco trip. We arrived by 4x4 and camped outside. We were offered tea for welcome and enjoyed a wonderful Tajine in the evening. Everything was good and we felt very welcome! During the night, some cars passed by and some dogs in the distance barked, but overall it was a peaceful night. Thank you for the hospitality!

About 20mins from skoura, this place is situated in the perfect spot for a respite from driving. The owner and his son demonstrate the best kind of hospitality with an accomodation that makes you fee like home. For the price of staying here, make sure to order the lemon chicken tajine it definitely is one of the best dishes Ive had in my month stay in Morocco. The dinner and breakfast are so filling that you will be ready for your next day of driving.
The owners son is extremely helpful and provided super helpful advice in figuring out where I should visit in the Ourzazate/Zagora provinces. I would return here in a heartbeat as the location is perfectly set in a supremely quiet part of the region amidst beautiful mountains.

I had a fabulous stay at Gîte Amoudou with Mahfoud and his wonderful family. The highlight was a delicious lemon chicken tagine—without question the best meal I had during my three weeks in Morocco. Anyone passing through should absolutely stay here to experience genuine Moroccan hospitality, warmth, and outstanding food.
