The Lunar Surf House Hotel

If you're tired of your routine and you're looking for the peace of mind and a social place where to meet new people from all over the world in a place like home this is where to go yoga classes in the morning, best breakfast you'll ever have around, and quality time everyday best surf spot!

The food here is incredible. Breakfast and dinner are both great but the breakfast is quite an experience in my opinion. Absolutely incredible. The hostel is about 500 meters from the beach. Two breaks to be exact. One is a beach break and the other is known as devil's rock which is only a few minutes further down and is a great break as well. This place is a perfect place for beginners to learn to surf. Only critique is that the upstairs dormitories though can be a bit loud.

Wonderful hostel with amazing staff and delicious food!

The place is very friendly no matter how long you plan to stay. It is ran by Adil, the owner who does everything for you to fell good in his place. He is also perfect guide during the trips organized by hostel. Hostel itself is clean, very well designed and offers amazing food (really the best we had during our week spent in Morocco). Surf lessons are highly recommended — both Zen and Adil are very patient and helpful teachers.
Evenings spent on rooftop terrace are the best ending of each day when all the guests seating around the fire can share their daytime experiences.
Don't forget to take your tour to Paradise Valley — we were amazed!

This place is so so special, I loved every minute I spent here. The athmosphere is so warm and welcoming. From the first moment I walked the stairway up to the rooftop reception I felt there was so much love here. Lunar is the perfect place to relax and also have a active vacation, surfing, Yoga, hiking and the food — dont even get me started on the food. Amazing! The staff is just awesome, you guys really made me feel like at home. I hope I can come back soon,

Great communal food! Friendly staff. Surfboard and wetsuit rentals. Short walk to the beach. Freshly updated rooms with wall plugs for each bed. Some bed as look to be a little saggy and well used. Breakfast is colorful, fragrant, tasty and filling. Large fruit bowls with yogurt and fresh peanut butter. Berber style eggs. Potatoes eggs and cheese. And much more. Dinner is opt-in and equally as delicious and bountiful. Wi-Fi is good but can fluctuate like all over in Morocco.

This place breaths perfection, from the food, people and tranquil atomosphere. Every detail has been tailored to the guests. If you come here looking for a good hostel you will find a brilliant one. I stumbled upon this haven because I was looking for a quiet place to learn to surf, away from the all the hustle and bustle of the nearby resort towns and boy did it deliver! From the moment I ascended the stairs to the blissful beauty of the terrace; where the reception is based, I was greeted by smiling faces and a dinner worthy of gods! Irena, Adil and Mhand have a way of making you feel so welcomed and do their upmost best to ensure your visit is not only stress free but memorable. My stay here has undoubtably been the highlight of my trip, I will most certainly be back! Stand by Lunar…

Already missing what became my family and the friends I made there! Wow! I spent 10 days in this hostel and I can't describe how good of an experience it was! Impecable hostel, really good service and such good common breakfast and common diners (perfect to make friends). But what really impressed me is the easiest way in which everyone just make friends all the time. Couples, solo travelers, groups, we all hang out toguether. Playing board games, yoga in the morning, going surfing toguether, and really good Foosball matches! The staff is really good, Irena takes great care of everyone's needs and Sophianne is a really cool guy that also helps out anytime. My experience was so good that one guy of the staff, Yaya, became like a brother to me. So definitely 100% recommended place to go, everyone that stayed there there agreed! My last recommendation would be to go to Paradise Valley from the hostel, the experience is beautiful and breath taking!

The staff and owners are really kind. When you got questions, wishes, or remarks, they will help you inmediately. Short walking distance to the beach, which is great for surfing and relaxing. When you stay here, try the food, it is awesome. Breakfast as dinner are everyday a treat to the eye and good for the belly!

The Lunar Surf House is one of the most beautiful places on earth. The hostel owners Adil and Irena are wonderful people who make you feel like home. We stayed there for a week but could have stayed forever.
During our stay we went to Essaouira, Paradise Valley and to the desert — all organised by the hostel for a very fair price. The trips just have been amazing and we made some incredible memories. Surf lesson and Yoga classes are also very much recommended! If you want to meet great people, enjoy the most amazing roof top, be close to beach, get the best morrocan breakfast/dinner, discover an amazing country & culture — go there! I definitely want to go back one day. Thanks for everything Lunar Surf House!

Great hostel — everything you need, clean, friendly staff, great location, and fantastic breakfast.

Highly recommend this place to anyone traveling Morocco. Excellent location, very clean (which can be especially difficult to find at this low price). Lovely, helpful staff/owners. Comfortable rooftop area with beach views by day and star gazing at night. You can walk to the beach with good surf break and it has some cool coffee spots and restaurants right there too — Although don't miss the breakfast included deal, some of the best cooking we enjoyed in Morocco was in this hostel. I also recommend any one of their tours offered. The trips we went on seemed to be more personal and original then others around and well worth it. We will definitely be back!

Very good hostel, nice ppl, food is great not far from sea, top roof is great.

A great and very chill place to stay and is a 7 minute walk to the closes beach. Irena and Adil are great hosts and even though their hostel is only 6 months old they are already well on their way. Stay is still very affordable and they run a very tight and clean hostel. They also rent boards and wetsuits for a small cost (much cheaper than places like Tamri, Tagazhout and Essaouira). There is not much to do in the town itself, but it is centrally located with Agadir to the south and Tagazhout to the north.
