I HAD ONE OF THE WORST HOSPITALITY EXPERIENCES EVERR!
Before booking, I called the riad twice to get clear information about my stay. I explicitly informed them multiple times that I would be arriving with girl friend of mine, as we were traveling from different destinations and meeting in Marrakech. At no point was I told there would be any issue.
After a very long journey and two flights, we arrived at the riad at 1:30 AM, only to be refused entry by the receptionist. We were told—word for word—that we could not stay together because she is Moroccan, but that it would be “no problem” if she had another nationality. Yes, exactly like that.
They then suggested she sleep in a separate room, which we reluctantly accepted because of the hour and exhaustion. But immediately after, they told us no rooms were available at all and simply said:
“Sorry, go look for somewhere else to stay. We cannot accept you, it’s the law. ”
There is NO mention of this restriction anywhere in their description, and the person I spoke to on the phone never warned me, despite me being very clear about the situation. Leaving guests stranded in the middle of the night after taking their money is completely unacceptable.
Unprofessional, misleading, discriminatory, and extremely stressful.
Avoid this place at all costs.

From check-in to check-out our experience was wonderful with this beautiful Riad in the heart of Marrakesh. Our hosts Anas and Rita were especially kind and took excellent care of us. They accommodated any needs and were easy to communicate with. Although the rooms were small, they were very charming and comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious and the staff serving them were attentive and kind. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Marrakech.

The location is absolutely perfect — right in the heart of the city, close to everything, yet still peaceful and relaxing once you step inside.
Our room was spectacular: stylish, spotless, and comfortable in every detail. The atmosphere of the whole Riad feels like a hidden gem — elegant Moroccan design, cozy corners, and such a warm ambiance.
A very special shout-out to Ghita 💛 She made our stay unforgettable! Her kindness, her professionalism, and her helpful recommendations truly elevated our experience. She always made sure we had everything we needed with the biggest smile.

Our stay at Riad Persephone was truly exceptional.
The place itself is gorgeous. Beautiful, clean, and authentically Moroccan. The rooftop is the real highlight: a fantastic terrace with a jacuzzi overlooking Plaza El Jamaa El Fna, absolutely unforgettable.
We arrived well before the official check-in time, yet the staff welcomed us immediately with local tea and traditional pastries. From the very first day, we needed assistance for a personal matter, and everyone stepped in without hesitation. They were incredibly kind, caring, and genuinely supportive.
I also have to mention how thoughtful they were about gluten-free options: they made sure we had everything we needed at breakfast, and it was truly appreciated.
We tried the on-site massage and even had lunch at the riad. Everything was perfect from start to finish.
Highly recommended.
And a heartfelt thank you to the entire team for taking such good care of us.

Beautiful Riad with incredible views over the Medina. Lots of little areas to tuck away in and just enjoy the vibes and atmosphere. There are loads of stunning plants everywhere that makes it feel like a little taste of paradise. Our room was beautiful and the bed was huge and comfy. Our shower was quite slow to drain as I think there may be a bit of a plumbing issue but it didn't take away from our overall experience.
The host was extremely helpful and welcoming. He made us a little take away breakfast when we had to leave early for our plane home. Nothing seemed like too much trouble. We felt very safe and welcomed. Thank you!

Perfect location, only few minutes from the main square and other social venues.
I would like to emphasize the support received by one of the staff member, his name is Zouhair. He has been very polite and helpful throughout the whole stay. Zouhair has great customer service skills and was really approachable! He offered us a great service and he is a hard worker!

Gorgeous Gorgeous Riad! Felt like a mystical, magical fairyland, and our room carried a giant bathtub with the prettiest lanterns :). The hospitality from the staff members was wonderful, and we enjoyed a sweet breakfast each morning. Met the owner, Jonathan, whose book collection by the pool was quite impressive. Thank you all for a lovely experience, hope to be back!

We had a truly unforgettable stay at Riad Persephone. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth and kindness—it immediately felt like home. We spent a long weekend here in one of the smaller rooms. We really liked the riad, it had a really good vibe and it was great to chill next to the pool or on the rooftop.
Service was great, everyone was really friendly and helpful and the arranged pick up service was great. (Tip if you wish to do so: at the airport they show you a table with the name of the riad, not your name and the car takes you to the central square or near it depending on time of the day. Someone will be along shortly with a cart to pick up your luggage and walk you to the riad. )
Breakfast was okay, nothing really special, but it was quite fine.
The room itself had a big and very comfortable bed, with a enough space around on sills to lay out small items like phones and books, but there were no proper shelves or cabinets. AC was working well and the shower was okay.
Location is really great, it is in a quiet side alley, so you don't exit to a crowded street directly, but it is close to everything as it is near the main square.

What a gem in the heart of the media. Amazing location the SWEETEST, warmest, kindest staff — each and every one of them! The pool and the rooftop jacuzzi were magnificent. Lovely breakfasts in the morning. Don’t miss out on the hammam and massage — it was absolutely excellent. Can’t think of a better stay! Beautiful rooms, lovely architecture, so colourful and definitely will stay here again!

Don’t really have a lot of expectations from this Riad, it is more like a luxury hostel, the room doors are not secure, even though we “locked” our door, we woke up in the morning with someone opening our room door, which was very uncomfortable. It is a noisy location in the morning with locals yelling all over the place. Lastly, even though when we asked at check in if the shower was draining (a common problem in Morocco apparently) we were told the shower does drain, however it does not and water just sits there, which if you are an over hygenic person, is not nice. We couldn’t shower because of that. Also, the room smelled like a toilet….

It’s my first time writing a review before I left the place. Everything here is exceptional. The room is amazing, the staff is very friendly, the jacuzzi is warm and always open and the massage was great. I definitely recommend this place.

Loverly place to stay in the heart of the MEDINA. A short walk to everything you could possibly want to explore, look at or buy in Marrakech. Very warm jacuzzi on the roof with spectacular views of the square :D.

There was good heating for cold January nights.
It’s close to Jemaa el-Fnaa, but you don’t hear any of the noise from the market. The walls are thin though, so we were woken up in the night by noisy neighbours a couple of times.
The bathroom in our room did not have a door. And the room was a bit damp.
Still, I would recommend this place!

I booked this riad by complete random strike of luck, was welcomed by Mounir who showed me around and introduced me to the owner whom personality and maticulosness reflects greatly on the entire lodge.
As soon as you enter the Riad, you could feel its energy of authinticity and greatness in simplicity, and it feels like you want to spend all your time just sitting there. I’m not sure if it’s the design, the vibe, or the warmth of the staff, or perhaps a combination of all. The room variety and seating arrangement, and to top it off with a jacuzzi on the roof with a panoramic view on the entire city makes it just as tho you are in a movie scene.
Excellent service and hosting showcased by Mounir, perfect vibe perhaps thanks to the owner and great staff, I would most certainly visit again.

I had an amazing experience at Riad Perséphone, the hospitality was exceptional, and the ambiance was so charming and relaxing. Every detail, from the decor to the service, truly made my stay unforgettable. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful getaway.

During our stay in Marrakesh we have been in 3 riads in Medina, and in Persephone tried 2 different rooms, both of them were really nice decorated and with different details on them, as lamps, wall paint… The showers feel like little Hammams. One of the rooms with an extra large bed, was reeeally confortable. And the toilets have the Japanese cleaning system, which its pretty courious here.
This Riad, with a hot tub on the rooftop (we got in in December) feels like a little oasis in the middle of all the mess outside. There is not a corner without a plant, lamp or a detail that hasn’t been looked after. Everything its not brand new and shiny, but thats why its got its charm.
For those who love to enjoy a bit of time sitting and chilling around, I’d fully recommend it. Its next to the the main terraces of the Jemaa el fna square (you see it from the rooftop), and at a fair price.
