The best hostel in marrakech, I stay here whenever I'm visiting. Beds are super comfy with plenty of blankets and actual duvets (essential in colder months! ), the showers are powerful and always have hot water and the free daily breakfast is delicious. Salah and Sana work really hard to give guests the best possible stay and the owner clearly cares a lot for the property, consistently updating and maintaining so the hostel always feels clean and welcoming. Location is excellent, super close to the medina whilst being tucked away enough to be calm and quiet at night. 5* stay with the loveliest and most helpful people, thank you Sun!

It’s my second time in this hostel and it’s as good as it was first time, and I will probably be going again for the third time. Salah the host is amazing and always helps with keeping up the vibe and have the best recommendations.
The place is very close to the medina and serves a really good breakfast.

I loved this hostel! Salah. Who runs the hostel. Is an absolute legend. He was super polite, happy to help with recommendations and showed me around the city when he had time off. He made me feel like a local and not a tourist. Sana was also super nice and made a lovely breakfast Can't recommend enough.

I had an incredible stay at Sun Hostel. It had a relaxed and peaceful vibe and was in a nice quiet location close to the square. The place was clean and the breakfast was delicious. Salah was a very helpful, friendly and accommodating host. I would be very happy to come back here again.

Nice hostel, Salah is super friendly. Check in video prior to arrival was very useful. Lockers in rooms but rooms don’t lock just fyi if this is important for your stay. Basic free breakfast is nice to receive also. Quiet hostel overall, and it’s off the main busy streets. The beds are sooo comfy with great bedding! Appreciated this a lot.

The staff were exceptionally kind and professional — always smiling, helpful, and attentive to guests’ needs. Beds are clean and the host Salah is amazing. He is always helpful and such a nice guy. Even though it is in the middle of the city it is quiet and the terrace is chill.

We had a wonderful stay in this charming riad in the Medina. The location is perfect, breakfast is delicious, and Salah was very attentive. Both hosts made us feel warmly welcomed — a truly delightful experience!

This hostel is really good, it is very close to everything in Marrakech, the host (Salah) is really really nice and answer at all time if there is a problem or question, the woman that hosted us too is really nice and understanding. We will definitively come back here next time we are in Marrakech!

Lovely receptionist, great terrace and good location. Our private room had no AC or window and the shared bathroom wasn't super clean.

Tasty breakfast and a very decent private room. I only wish that they change the lock on the bathroom door, because it is talking loong from the bedroom to the toilet, then setting the number code and unlocking. Ast but not least, amazing service by Salah, I think he deserves a raise;)

Cons:
Security — another guest let me in without checking anything.
Cleanliness — the private room that was prepared had stains on the sheets and hair from the previous guest.
Staff — consistently late and gives wrong guidance (says 10 minutes but in actuality around 50 minutes)
Service — provides a cab service that doesn't even come but takes 208 MAD for where probably market price is 100 plus minus 25;I asked before what to do if the ride is late and they responded not to worry and yup — no one showed up on time.
Pros:
Location — great and close to various attractions and markets.
Price — decent.

This place is the very best, especially for the price. We met the sweetest people, who made our time in Marrakesh unforgettable. Sallah (the host) is the kindest and most helpful person you’ll meet, he will tell you “Salah is the best”, and you’ll come to find out, that he is right. Sana makes the food and cleans, and is very humble and patient. We met a lot of travelers there too, it is a great place to meet young people from different areas of the world.
The only thing to be aware of, is that if you’re a light sleeper, like me, you may want to express that before your stay, so that you get a room a little further from the bathroom and stairs, where noise travels more easily.

Sun Hostel has a central location and very nice staff. Especially Salah is super friendly and gives great recommendations regarding Marrakesh as well as across Morocco. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms clean. They also offer included breakfast on the terrace which was great! Would highly recommend.

Me and two friends shared a private room, which was great.
Salah the host was so lovely and helpful. A sweet lady who cooked great food in the mornings too. We enjoyed some (accidentally vegan pancakes)
Would definitely recommend. Very affordable and in a great location for walking through souls. We stayed for 5 nights which was great. Small place, but socialised a bit with other visitors. Would come again.
